Hope I'm not being too forward posting this, but, here we go.
Plot (feel free to change anything):

quote:
Clynt is having a New Year's Party, and is a bit bummed because not everyone he invited/wanted to come is there. Sure, Yui is there, but he knows what she's all about. And Alan's all right in his own wierd way, but Pete's just a downer, man.
The guys from "Nowhere Man" show up because hey, it's a party, and one of them has a huge Kick addiction and they see Alan backing a truck full of it up to Clynt's door.
Satan shows up, grumpy as always, because being Satan in today's complex world is a lot of work ("I will crush your puny soul!"), until someone hands him a drink ("Whoah, cool it, man. Have a drink." "Well, all right."). What does Satan drink? Probably not beer, and this Satan wouldn't drink sissy-drinks like martinis. Kamikazes?
My characters show up, trying to complete a quest to destroy some unnamed terror and hopelessly lost (they're not really all that good at the adventuring biz). No one really wants to ask them what the hell they're doing there because no one wants to admit they see giant talking animals. They see Satan and assume he's what they're after. Comic mayhem ensues as they try to destroy him, while Satan has decided he'd just rather relax at the party.
Max and AJ arrive looking for "Stan." They manage to calm down the erstwhile demon hunters. Then....
I don't know.

This could probably be broken up into eight parts, so we each do two segments alternating 1-4, then 1-4 again. I normally do just a 3-4 panel strip, but obviously this would be much more. Not a problem. If we get a skeleton plot together, we can just write the segments we're responsible for ourselves. Just let the next person know any big plot developments so they can accomodate them.
The first few parts, at least, should be done by 12/1 so that we can put them up. I was figuring on using the Party 2001 website, as that's the reason it's there. It'll also save us from having to place the pictures on our own sites.
When a picture is finished, you can email it to me (mtrepal2@erie.net) and I'll put it on the site. Site design is still up in the air, but we'll work something out.
Comments, questions, requests, dedications? Feel free to change any and all of what I wrote.

Feh. I was working from memory; obviously I have a problem with that. I need to take more notes.

Well, I can flesh it out more thoroughly, and maybe cut it into eight parts, but I don't actually want to write the dialogue or specifics. We each write our own characters best, so rather than have one person script the whole thing out, I think it would be better and funnier if we each did our sections on our own off of a skeleton plot. I'll try and post something in the next few days.

Okay, I've whipped up a skeleton plot. You can find it here. I've got 7 of 8 total parts scripted out, but I'm kind of having a hard time figuring out how to end it. I also think that there may not be enough mixing until the end parts, but maybe not. If you think you're characters are not behaving in a manner that is not appropriate (to their character, that is) feel free to state that here. If you want to change anything, state that here. If you've got any ideas for the ending, state them here.
------------------

Yeah, that's better. I wrote what I did because I couldn't think of any other way to end the demon-hunt.

quote:
As for an ending: Clynt's temper finally gets the better of him and he yells at everyone to get the hell out of his house. This will work. I'll try and get this worked out this weekend. I have tomorrow off (Veteran's Day) so I'll have extra time to work on it.

quote:
Also Clynt's a huge wrestling fan so him and Travis more than likely hit it off pretty well.

Noted. That will be added. I'm going to change the demon hunt a little. Yerzle & Co. first go after Satan, but get intercepted by Paul & his rant, then go after him.
As for adding stuff not in the plot, absolutely. I purposely left it sketchy, since we all have different styles in how we write our strips, and this will allow us to fit our own styles to the story. Any big developments should, I guess, be noted to the others so that they can adjust accordingly.
The other thing I was thinking was that each of us could draw the section that introduces our characters (EteRock does P1, Chad does P2, Jack does P3, I do P4), then the other parts get distributed randomly.
More to follow....

All right, the final plotline is finished, and you can find it here. I'm assuming Jack is still in on this, right? We've only heard from him the one time, and we kinda need to use his characters.
As for writing/drawing sections, how do you all want to split up the second four parts?
------------------

Finally after all these days, I've finally caught up with you guys. Damn! You started without me! Oh well, since you already have your plot lined out and everything... But what about me? I suppose you could find my characters at the end, arriving after the party had just finished, or something. I apologise for being late.

Not a problem. It shouldn't be, anyway. Have you read the plot? Can you slip in two more sections? Plot 'em out and post them here, or email them to me and we'll fit it in. Sorry for going on, but I sent you an email and you didn't repsond.... I guess we should have waited, but time is of the essence. Anyway, jump in and hold on!
------------------

Hello? Is everybody still there? I'm going to post something here tomorrow that fits the Dark Knight characters into the plot, then we're going to have to hit the ground running. The month's half over. Please respond here so that I know you're all still interested. I'll also send emails tomorrow to everybody to get it going in earnest.

Still here.
Remember:
Igor is illiterate, therefore he only recognizes familiar words like "Tavern" and "Beer" and "Ale".
Holly is a phantom bent on killing everyone.
The 3rd is basically the "Fourth Wall".
Now back to going through your archives...

Okay, finally! Here is the final plot outline for the New Year's Eve thing. Here's the order of drawing:
Pt1 - EteRock
Pt2 - Chad
Pt3 - Jack
Pt4 - Me
Pt5 - Davos
Pt6 - Chad
Pt7 - Davos
Pt8 - Me
Pt9 - EteRock
Pt10- Jack
Obviously, the first section we draw is the one in which our characters are introduced. The second one is one in which our characters are not necessarily featured. If anybody wants to switch, no prob. We'll work it out.
I don't know how you all write your strips, but I script mine out rather extensively. I'm not real good at making it up as I go along, and it helps me get a handle on what's happening. The sections are left rather bare (some more than others) in order to let us all run free. Just try and keep the beginnings and endings of the sections consistent with the script, so that the next person knows what's going on. Also, if you add anything big, like an explosion or something, let the rest of us know so that we can draw a hole in the wall. Finally, EteRock, this is taking place in your character's house. Do you want to whip up a floor plan so we all have the same stage? (You don't have to, I can do that too, but I don't want to make this sound like it's my project alone.)
That's it, I guess. If anybody has any questions post 'em here or email me at mtrepal2@erie.net, which is also where you can send your pictures when you're done.
BTW, I'm sorry if I sounded like a whiny bitch in yesterday's post. I didn't mean to, I just wanted to make sure everybody was still with us.

1. Door
2. Bookcase
3. Bar
4. Big screen TV
5. Fireplace
6. This is a little hard to explain, that whole area is about a foot or so off the ground. It has two couches with a small table in-between them. And that behind it is a glass block wall.

That's were the party will be localized I'll leave the design of the rest of the house (such as in the Paul chase) to those who are assigned to that part.
------------------
