some err ...starting problems ...

Post by Asarea »

I REALLY WANTED TO BE BACK! *sigh*

But my main board won't .. it crashed, and with it all important programs were gone. Well, maybe it was time to happen something like this. My computer run without major problems since 3 years ... it HAD to happen. Now I have to start from zero again, and try to recover my data from the crashed board to get my comic back ...

Long sentence, short meaning: It will take me some time to get everything back and working, my big sorry to all the people I promised to draw something (JPSloan & noemZ), I hope I can get back to work soon, but without a running scanner and Photoshop and my other little thingys its impossible to get the work finished right in time ... and I cant even update the outtakes month .. :/

Hell, I need some vacation ...

I hope all goes well, and that your hardware ails will be replaced with ales.

Here, pet this until the stress goes away. They're better than aspirins.

*sees that the kitten didn't work and hands Asarea a tub of chocolate ice cream*

Better stress reliever.

And I hope you can recover enough data. Really, really hope you can.

Sorry about the crash.

Lesson for us all:

Fight your instinctive web-cartoonist laziness and MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR MATERIAL! I personally use both Zip disks and a CD burner...

I hire a small monk to sit at my home computer during the day while I'm at work and copy everything down into a dusty tome. It takes him forever, but he adds the loveliest illuminations!

Uhm ::raises hand::

Not that I was that much active in the forums to be missed when my computer thoroughly crashed and took my entire HD with it... (I also lost my regular job, but that's nother matter...)

But everything will be allright, Gloria. You only lost tools; you can rebuild a lot of things by downloading your site from Keen's server, and your imagination and skills are intact.
