This is interesting... I already got a soundtrack for my comic in my mp3 player, but it's 60+ songs so here's a cut-down version...

Lemme see...

(can't think of how to do a cover for it...)

1. "More"--Mathiew West
2. "The End"--Mathiew West
3. "Dream"--Michelle Tumes
4."I need you"--(forgot the artist, contemporary Christian)
5. "Flurry"--Apologetix (Christian Parody of "Blurry)
6. "Ride"--(Forgot the artist)
7. "Breaking the Habit" (I think)--Meteora
8. "Personal Jesus"--Bonjovi (I think--if not I'm going to have to ask our music leader at church on saturday)
9. "Bring me back to Life"--Evancence
10. "In My Arms"--Micheal W. Smith
11. "Back In His Arms"--Mark Shultz
12. "Stuck"--Stacie Oricco
13. "I will not be Shaken"--Zoegirl
14. "Supermodels"--Kendall Payne
15. "Modern Day Moses (Let my People Go)"--Kendall Payne
16. "Forever"--Phenomenon
17. "Rapsody in Blue"--Gershwin

And if you ignore the fact that the majority of these songs are either Christian or have been played as worship music in my church, it's a pretty eclectic grouping (and to give you a clue...the only not-christian, not worship-music song on that list is Rapsody in Blue)

Hmm... I also have a very large playlist that I listen to while working on Nahast, but I do have an Original Soundtrack of sorts, currently being pieced together by me and a musician friend of mine. You can download the assorted mp3 and MIDI files from my downloads section, if you're curious (.http://nahast.keenspace.com/downloads.html). I should make a cover one of these days...

As for a sample of my playlist:

Jeremy Soule - Icewind Dale Theme
Akino Arai - Omatsuri (Festival)
Saori Kobayashi, Mariko Nanba - Sona Mi Areru Ec Sancitu (Panzer Dragoon Azel)
Yoko Kanno - Sea of Miracles (Lodoss TV OP)
Yoko Kanno - Girl WIth Power (Arjuna OST)
Deep Forest - Pacifique (Pacifique)
Klaus Badelt - Eloi (The Time Machine OST)
Ben Daglish (Chris Holm) - The Last Ninja (Wastelands)
Unknown - Once Upon a Time in China (Version 4)
Joe Hisaishi - Gods (Spirited Away Image OST)
Khan - The Moonlit Ground (Soul Edge OST)
G.Priarone / orig. Ben Daglish - The Wilderness (TheLast Ninja)
Peter Gabriel - A Different Drum (Passion)
Eri Itoh - Anu Orta Veniya (Panzer Dragoon Orta)
Hans Zimmer - Idyll's End (The Last Samurai OST)

No drawings that'd go well on an album cover, so photo's of the setting instead. Huzzah.

Interesting... I'll have to think about it, since the music I usually listen to isn't necessarily the music I'd pick for the comic.

In the meantime, I'll borrow someone else's soundtrack:

It was originally done by Johnny Cash, Depeche Mode did a cover that is best known I believe. Gravity Kills covered it to I believe.

Been there, done that, 2001, PEOPLE. I gave them out for free to my friends at the first comic con I went to.

I'd really change a couple of things now, but it's a pretty fine mix, even if I opted for songs that fit the characters instead of ones that weren't totally overplayed.

Here's the soundtrack for Crooked Halo. Sorry the CD covers aren't too fancy; my photoshop-type skills aren't all that impressive.

Darn that Gershwin! Always screwing everything up!

By the way, ever hear Neutral Milk Hotel or Sufjan Stevens? They're both progressive/folk artists, very religous, very good. You might like 'em! I do, and I'm not even a Christian. ;)

Actually I think you have that backwards. Depeche Mode did the song originally and Johnny Cash covered it on his last album. (Well the last one before he died).

Okay...here goes...the soundtrack to School Spirit...

Well, seeings this comic grew out of the school musical I wrote for this year's grade 5/6s, the soundtrack's original music you lot wouldn't have heard, cos it hasn't been performed yet...

But for a soundtrack of 'real' music for School Spirit...here goes...

50 Years - Uncanny X-Men
Are You Old Enough - Dragon
Care For Kids - Peter Best
Day You Went Away - Wendy Matthews
Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House
Down Under - Men At Work
Eagle Rock - Daddy Cool
Howzat - Sherbet
If I Could - 1927
Leaps and Bounds - Paul Kelly
Live It Up - Mental As Anything
One Perfect Day - The Little Heroes
Reminiscing - Little River Band
Run To Paradise - Choirboys
Slice of Heaven - Dave Dobbyn
Tenterfield Saddler - Peter Allen
Touch Of Paradise - John Farnham
True Blue - John Williamson
What About Me? - Moving Pictures

Okay...there's 18...enough for a Greatest Hits...and yeah, they're all Australian, so if there's some you haven't heard of, that's probably why. And if so, then GO AND FIND OUT!!

The music is mainly stuff by Ishii Yasushi, The Seatbelts, or Akima & NEOS (Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, and Trigun respectively...)
Its the stuff that I listen to the most when I'm drawing...

Did we do something like this a while ago? I have some vague memory of it....hrm. Oh well. Let's see.

Eternity: Light and waves- (FFX-2)
Return to Innocence- Enigma
Wild Child- Enya
Zanarkand- FFX
Key of the twilight- .hack
A stray child- .hack
Chrono Cross intro song
Call Me Call Me- Yoko Kanno
Aeris's theme- FFVII
Auron's theme- FFX
Itsumo Nando Demo- Spirited Away
Green Bird- Yoko Kanno
Strangers- Wolf's Rain
Duvet- Lain
Brothers- FMA

Yes. Most of them ARE from anime or game soundtracks. Eheh.
Anyhow, I'm sure more would fit. Phantom Brave's track fits well, too, and some FF6..er...alright, FF in general except for most of X2. And Mononoke Hime, too, but I couldn't find it and was too lazy to look it up. ;}

I think I've decided to look through everyone's soundtrack and create a playlist for my radio show. I'll let you know when I plan on playing snippets of everyone's soundtrack, but I think it's the only fair way to share everyone's love of music with my love of music.

All I can tell you is that the recurring theme song to Gin and the Devil would be "Drunk is Better than Dead" by the Push Stars. If you're curious as to what that song is about, read the title again. Very much to the point.

Not that my comic gets a little dark.
