I'm a little confused, do we have to sign up to get our comic in the running? Or is that just to vote?

You have to sign up to vote, just like MCDUFFIES.

You can nominate anyone.
Yep that's right, anyone. Even MCDUFFIES.

But that's just if you want to vote for MCDUFFIES. Then if you do nominate MCDUFFIES, other people can vote for MCDUFFIES.

Me? I'm not going to nominate MCDUFFIES. I don't like MCDUFFIES. I think MCDUFFIES is crap.

That's why we kick MCDUFFIES in the nuts! Because if I was to vote for MCDUFFIES, then MCDUFFIES might win, and I'd rather have me win than MCDUFFIES.

I see there's a loby for voting for me here, thanks. :D

One issue was always should I vote for myself. Give me a hint should I vote for myself this year, cause if I don't have a chance to win, I'll give that vote to someone else.

Are there specific comics we can vote for, or can we basically vote for any keenspace/spot comic?

1. You're not limited to keenspace/spot comic, you can vote for ModernTales comics, DrunkDuck comics, indie comics... I don't think you can vote for printed comics that are put on net, like those on ucomics.com, the rest is allowed.

2. First round is nominations, where you can vote for any comic. After that, second round, you vote for the one of those who passed nomination round.

Awards...?

Post by Dopey Mannequin Boy »

Hey, just a few points to raise.
  • The website for the Awards says 2003. Is there a newer one, or they just haven't bothered updating the title?

Can we nominate categories? If so, I shotgun the "newcomer whose site represents exotic fruit unintentionally" award.

    When are the awards decided/presented?
That would be all for me.

VOTE #1 for the etercity chronicles for fruity website award!!

I got one point to rise too:
What about comics that ended? With idea of CCA as yearly award, they shouldn't be allowed. But you see, for instance, "When I'm a king" nominated for 2003, while it officially ended, I think, in 2001.

It took a while for the site to be updated, but it has been now. All of the information is there. http://www.ccawards.com

And you're right. In theory the nominees are suppose to be for work that is specifically from the previous year. The first couple of years this was overlooked to make up for the fact that these awards didn't exist previously. But we are going to try to enforce that more and more as time goes on.

However, we also don't want to restict the voters any more than necessary. For the most part we try to trust the nominaters to use good judgement in what they nominate.

Ooh. It's so exciting. Who will sweep the CCA's?

Damn. I should've campaigned more for the Best Superhero Award.
