OK, i have permission to tell all. ;)
You already know Arno is based on Arno, a friend of Angie. He makes fun of Angie's anthrowolf character and has a pet bird. He's also a great guy and don't let his teasing of Angie make you think they don't get along, they act like siblings. *L*
Robert is based on Robert. No, really. *L* He actually posted in here once way back in the early days when we only had one topic. The leopard is one of Rob's RP character's, and yes, he's fixated on catnip. *L*
Jason is based on Jason, loosly. *L* Named after him, at least. He's another of Angie's close friends from our other universe. :P Most of us are members of an online clan together. :) I have no idea if he likes horror movies. :P
Brem you already know is based on Bremusa, who posts here when I can nag her to do it. *L* ;) She really IS that hyper, and has a pet Squirrel named Baby. She has also been known to chew on people in chat rooms. o.O
Logan is named after Angie's cousin, who posted in the guest book and suggested a fox character. So when the time came for a fox, the name fit. :)
Tucker is based on Angie's "...grandmother's (deceased) cat that I really loved to death. Tucker helped me out when I was majorly depressed the summer I moved."
And the 7th is Kess. Last and well, least if you count appearances. But not least in posts to the MB! Yes, that's right, Kess is me. Well, named after my RP character Kessalia. And i hate to think her threatening Duke this last week was probably inspired by me, too, I tend to be protective of my friends and online family. ;)

So, there you go. All the character so far that are based on RL characters. Some are more loosly based than others, and all are Angie being a really nice cool person and flattering us more than we deserve. We're not worthy!! ;) As far as I know, all of us have figured out that the characters are ANGIE'S and if the one named for us does somethign we don't like we get to just deal with it and enjoy. :P
Hmm. Not sure some of the guys will agree with that statement, a couple of them have egos. ;) Ah well, if they give Angie a hard time, I'll beat up on them for her! ;)

[This message has been edited by Mel (edited 11-18-2000).]

Heehee. Cool. But I'd never have guessed Logan *L*
I think Angie does a great job of the characters, the ones I know anyway. *L* :P And I think I'd feel the same as Mel if it were me ;P

Who wouldn't be flattered to be in Angie's comic? Even if they did have an ego? With her artistic and storytelling abilities, she'd easily do them justice ... and probably improve on their original personalities too. Hrm ... maybe that's the part they don't like, I guess some people are far too vain. ;>
I have a few questions too. What's this online clan? Also, are there any more of those 'clan-based-comics'? I only saw the one that was posted here and that was groovy, I'm greedy, I wanna see more! Mainly because I'm a fur fan and I think Ang draws anthros very, very, very well indeed.
Finally, to those that aren't in DK yet, here's an interesting question - if you were in Dakota's Ridge, what do you think your character would be like? This probably should've been started in another topic but I think it goes along nicely as a continuation of this one so I'll keep it here. I'm curious to see how people would think of themselves as cartoons and / or animals.

Yes! Arno's a GOOD Author! Last time I made that comment it was missing an 'o'..and it looked a little odd..*L* ;)
Um...Gee! SW that's a hard question! I'm not being sarcastic....o.O Um...*a few hours later* I'd be a...a...a..um...oh god...(This was my actual reaction when I read the question bTW)..er...a CAT! Um...yeah...a little one...a clumsy, silly, annoying one though...that didn't know anything either ;)

Ooh, pics of the clan? I wanna see! I hope you find that link soon. If it has anything to do with Gargoyles though (visually) it has to be cool (though the mutates and the English Gargoyles were more fun than Goliath's clan, Griff was just so ... right ;>).
As for the animal one, it's an interesting question isn't it? I've asked that to many furry types and they just can't answer it. It may be because they want a quick er [censored - PG board after all] or because they simply think that animal is handsome but very few actually have examined their own personality in length to see who they really identify with.
That's what my is based on. My stalwart endurance (or 'just too damned stupid / stubborn to give up') and loyalty are my reasons. I hate big crowds too (I tend to feel lost in them) and I can get slightly territorial so the Wolf was kind of an eye opener for me when I learned about them.
So that's always an interesting question to ask just to see what people will base their opinions off of. ;>

Well, I think I'm one of the guys with egoes Mel mentioned, and if you look at Angie, Mel and Dubble's comments about me I think it is pretty clear how that happened. *l*
The Arcadia Clan Gallery is currently hosted on my site and can be found here:
http://home.soneraplaza.nl/mw/prive/ajacobs/Arcadia/Gallery.htm
I'll also have to only half agree with Spiritwolf on the designs of the gargoyles. I quite like the designs of the Manhattan clan. However, Griff really DOES look great! ;)
As for what animal I'd be, well, that's simple, really. I think I would be... A human. *L* Well, someone has to be the homo sapiens! ;)

Hmm. I have no idea WHAT kind of animal i woudl identify with best. Maybe one of the solitary felines. No, i think i'd be more comfortable as a herbivore, actually. Or a bird. No, afraid of heights, scrap that. ;) i love water. i mean REALLY love water... rivers... maybe an otter! I could be happy as a river otter. *L*

Oh yeah! *Clears throat* everything in the Gallery by Jessie is really by Angie. I have a hard time calling her Angie, actually... I struggle. ;)
My imagination isn't that big I think. Just a bit odd in places I guess... *L* Hey, you think people'll actually read my stories now? ;)
Bremusa, I could tell you Homo Sapiens means something like "The Thinking Man", but I am so afraid what you'll say to me about that... ;)
Jason> She is a bit scary, isn't she? ... SO you'd either be a dog or a cat... ;)

Dubble> Nothing good about my imagination. Sometimes it gets a bit hyperactive, but that does not equate to 'good' in any way. ;)
Oh, and I think you'd make a good poodle. ;) *L*
Malibu> Whatever you do, do NOT go into Bremusa's shower... *FLashbacks to 'Psycho' commence* ;)
Mel> I really should try and find an online name for myself, no? But it'd feel so silly. And I'm sure she listens... Can't you see her shaking her head and rolling her eyes at names like "Dubble", "MAui", etc...? ;)
Bremusa> *L* Now I wonder, how long does it take you to come up with an naswer like that? ;)
Personally I expected a dg at me calling myself a thinking man, something along the lines of calling me a Sukkel. *L*

Arno>*L* Sure it does! Someone with a good imagination writes good stories! *stops as if that proves the point* See? ;)
But yeah hyperactive doesn't have to mean good though.
I'd make a good poodle! *L* o.O *wonders how to stop being a silly yappy thing* ;)
Mel>I know my Mom never listens. She thinks its weird...o.O *shrugs*
And yes I know Dubble's a silly name! *L* It was on my sweatshirt at the time! ;)
