Legal question on site stats

Post by Sixguys »

Morning, all.

Am I breaking any laws, contracts, agreements (including the 'Space User Agreement that I should have memorized...) if I take some of the Webalizer stats for my site and, say, put them on the site itself?

Not using any kind of ripper code, but just manually typing some of the numbers (totals, mostly) into my index file every so often... See my site for exactly what I'm talking about.

(I still can't believe how high those numbers are compared to my personal site, which has been at GeoCities for YEARS. And my comic isn't a year old, even!)

Just figured if there's a problem, I'd rather stop now than wait until someone rats me out.

Thanks, folks.

Nope, there's nothing wrong with that at all. Your numbers- you may do with them as you please.

Woohoo! Numbers! And you can juggle them too!

"Figures don't lie, liars figure!"

meh...

I'd just right-click on one of the pretty graphs and post that. Why type column after column of data?

Yeah, because my numbers are so big I'd be there typing them for ages :D.

I wish :P.

I don't see why it should be illegal.
(Then again, the same could be said about entering Wisconsin, Minnesota with a chicken on your head)
