Hey everyone! I know the new name was sudden, but it was necessary to protect Keenspace and myself from liability. Hopefully it will be for the best. I think the new logo is spiffy. Too bad I just bought a t-shirt with the old logo for the RL Melissa. Please comment on the change!

Teri says they received a fax from lawyers representing the "Boys and Girls Clubs of America" regarding my comic's title. Here's the e-mail I recieved:<P> <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR><B>

I'm sorry, but I believe they legally have the right to stop you from using
that name. They want us to totally kick you off of Keenspace, but I don't
think that's necessary. I think if you just quickly change your comic's name
and URL, and take that name off of all of your pages (including your
archives), there would be no problem and you could stay on Keenspace. I know
it's a lot of work to make those changes, though, but the only other choice
would be to stop totally.

What you decide to do is entirely up to you, but we need to know quickly so
we can send them confirmation that their name will no longer be used on a
Keenspace hosted website. If you decide to change your comic's name (rather
than leave Keenspace) please let us know what the new name will be and how
long it will take you to change it on all of your pages. We will also set up
a new URL for your new name.

Again, I'm sorry this is happening. And I thank you, in advance, for your
quick response.
