Not a dumb question at all.
Here is the URL of last year's award ceremony. Many of the ideas and goals of the awards are available there.

This year's voting process is currently scheduled to begin in late May or early June. So obviously the website isn't up for that yet. Watch here for more details.
And if you're interested in joining the planning committee, email me at we're eager for more eager participants.
At this point (to my knowledge) there is no other award process like this for web comics. I have heard mutterings that something else may be in the process, but nothing has been officially announced.
Thanks,
Mark Mekkes
------------------

Another thing you can do is find things that your comic may have as a nitch. In my comic's case Roleplayers... and search for awards programs via that.

The Ignatz Awards include a 'Best Online' category.
I think what Zortic-guy was referring to (mutterings) is this discussion (warning - set aside an hour or so), in which they decided to do awards the following way:
-anyone can nominate
-1 guy decides all the judges
-the judges can reject any nomination out of hand, whittling down to whatever finalists they decide
-the judges pick the winner.
I'm bummed that the Ignatz' got cancelled this year, because I was pulling for Jeremy, although "When I Am King" would have been cool too, or really any of the finalists.
Is "Ignatz'" an acceptable plural form of "Ignatz"?
------------------

that keeps Alt Brand down.

The choice awards link doesn't work, is it just me or is everyone having that problem?
