Phone Damage

My random babble for this strip:
Hmmm.... well depending on how good the repair services are in Milarky that might have put the phone out of commision for only slightly longer than if she had indulged her 'natural' method of expressing ire. Of course she probably has that pretty well surpressed... besides I think it usually goes more with 'fear' than 'anger'. Also it might not be as cathartic since one would always suffer a bit of 'backlash' just by being in the area... but no worse than bruising you knuckles when you punch a wall...

If the phone service in Malarkey County is anything like it is in the NW the phone will be fixed somewhere around late 2035.

Golly, and I thought things in Mexico were slower than that! After Hurricane Isidore, the phone company had to replace 5,000 telephone poles (including one 50 m from my house; it broke in 4 pieces, but the wires never snapped, so we had a phone throughout the whole thing), and they did it within 3 months, considering the damage.
