How many of you work in an office... come on i know there's some of you out there... well i do, i work at the front desk of a well known company... and some of the people i get are just rediculous. its like i'm below them just because i'm not the one with the important meeting with Mr. So and so... so what? that doesnt mean they can just ignore me when i'm trying to tell them that their car will be towed if they leave it where it is... and then they wonder where the hell their car is when they come back... heh, not my fault...
It's all about the Sylvan Style.... go check it out.

I dont work in an office. I don't work at all, actually. I've been unemployed for several months. Being 16 makes that ok, though.
What well-known company do you work the front desk at?
It's "corporate."

Game testing's not bad, but could get Oh So Incredibly boring, especially with a slave driver at the wheel like at Lionhead.
Now Juniour Artist, now that's the position you want! In fact absoloutly nothing's expected of you! It's so kewl! You just sit around, bug real artists and play Halo in the games room while the kettle boils ^.^
Of course I was too good for that, they found out and got me to actually do some work, darn, I should have played dumb

I'm like a one-person IT department at my job. Forkin' bloody redneck boobs here. I can do anything I wants. I'm a lil' Gawd of the flickering machine. I say "off with his booty", and off comes the booty with the smelly sock, etc. And me takems' smoke breaks whenever me says. Usually, at least once an hour. Har har! Have at the cancer!

I work at Wal-Mart 3064.
I show up late. I leave early. I take long breaks. I avoid work. I wander the store. I tell customers to steal. I tell coworkers to steal. I tap on the glass of our fish tanks. I dance in the isles. I climb the warehouse racks. I do not practice saftey regulations. I do not tuck in my shirt. I wear a nametag that says 'Razi' with a sticker that reads "I still believe in Santa". I call in sick regularly. I swap shifts without telling management. I ignore pages. I go on break at the same time as the other people in my department. I really only do the work I feel needs doing, and I'm certain that this would be obvious to higher-ups that had any urge to dismiss me.
But my department manager loves me.
Interresting side-note: The store owner's name is RANDY POWERS!
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

If I ever marry a girl who has the last name of "Power", I would completely change my last name to accomodate. Why? Because then I would be Will Power.:Razi Oak: wrote:I work at Wal-Mart 3064.

But digressing, I couldn't stand being at Wal-mart, it's entirely too busy year round, and being in Kentucky, is generally filled with unsavory country folk, employee and customer alike, whom I generally avoid eye contact with, for fear of an unavoidable and lengthy anecdote from a complete stranger about dogs or corn (but not corndogs, ever).
I'm at Toys R Us, and generally work in video games, where I at least get to answer questions about stuff I actually know about. Though since Christmas is over, it's like a friggin' ghost town in there. Recently I've been the only person on a cash register whenever I go, and I actually bring my comic stuff along, and draw between customers. The comic I put up today was drawn and inked entirely at work. It's supposed to snow tomorrow (which means even fewer customers) so I hope to get 2 comics done, to get me into that "buffer" phase.
Still, it'd be nice if I worked somewhere where I actually got to sit down every once and a while. And unlike Razi, I'm actually a very good employee, which is why I'm the one guy still around to work registers.

I'm middle management! I used to be a slightly more meaningful form of middle management, but now I'm a "coach". I sit around all night on the weekend listening to people at my Dilbert-esque call center and telling them to do their job better. Then I write some comics and go home and sleep all day. I haven't seen the sun in awhile.
