Numbers 3, 2, 1?
Interesting. Apparently Jack is now number 3. Mr. Rutherington-Smythe is Number 2. So, number 1 in the heirachy would be Mr. Rutherington-Smythe Senior, I suppose. I wonder what he has to say on this turn of events.

So it seems. Hello, LM!Greyman wrote:Interesting. Apparently Jack is now number 3.
I am suddenly reminded, looking at the hi-res version of Friday's picture hosted by the illustrious Mako, of a different scene entirely.
At the end of the book (and movies) "Dune", there is a duel between the good guy Paul Atreides, and the bad guy Feyd of House Harkonnen, the champion selected by the Emperor.
In one of the "Dune" movies, Feyd was famously played by the singer "Sting" -- and "Napoleon XIV" made me think of him.
I wonder if Scott Kellogg has yet another twist to throw at us here?
Hey, Scott! How ya Dune?

Well, if Nappy starts singing, we may have to make him "Police" the area!LevelHead wrote:So it seems. Hello, LM!Greyman wrote:Interesting. Apparently Jack is now number 3.

Arm Jack with a good Hobbit-blade; they'd be evenly matched.Hortmage wrote:Well, if Nappy starts singing, we may have to make him "Police" the area!

What is Galore's number?
Does she even have a number?
What are the inheritance rules for lionesses?
Considering no.2's insistence on a male heir, could Galore have been hinting to Jack about a deal that could get her the inheritance?
<announcer voice>
The answers to these and other fascinating questions may be revealed in the next exciting episode!

Well, now he's at the seitch and, as I thought, they are not happy.LevelHead wrote: In one of the "Dune" movies, Feyd was famously played by the singer "Sting" -- and "Napoleon XIV" made me think of him.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past me, I will turn to see fear's path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

In lion societies, Lions are the heirs, and inherit everything including the family, BTW since that drunk lioness was pregnant, jack inherits her as well.Nebulous Rikulau wrote: What is Galore's number?

That is if he wins the duel with number 4. If not, he may not have to worry about it. Carotid arterial nip to a drunken lion is one thing, but this is something else.HugoFuchs wrote:In lion societies, Lions are the heirs, and inherit everything including the family, BTW since that drunk lioness was pregnant, jack inherits her as well.Nebulous Rikulau wrote: What is Galore's number?

Okay, most territorial duels are not to the death, but somehow ....

I'll pass this along to a friend, who I owe a debt of gratitude, for dropping by recently with a pound of Jamaican Blue Mountain.Quill wrote: By caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, By the Beans of Java do thoughts acquire speed, Hands acquire trembling, The trembling becomes a shaking, By caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
