And it ends...

Post by Joshnickerson »

And it ends...
I'll leave all the mushy stuff to the message page, but I'd like to thank you all for sticking with me to the end. I'm coming back, no doubt about it, but HOW I'll be back I don't know yet.
Anyway, if you never have, re-read the archives, and post your thoughts about what I've done. Have I improved any since 2000? Were there any characters or relationships you liked or that you wish had developed further? What made you want to read this strip every day for the past three years? Anything you'd like...
It's been swell guys... I'll be hanging around here for a while, so don't send me any farewell cards yet.

Josh, it sucks, but it's understandable. Good luck: get that 'folio together and keep plugging away at the syndicates. If 'Mutts' can make it, I think we all have a chance. If you need any info that Joey and I might have (syndicate addresses, guidelines, suggestions), please let us know.

At least it ain't going away forever. (And it's good to see you're FINALLY taking some of my advice!) I am really anxious to see the new Icebox as well as the new Nolans strips. I guess my single most fav comic right now would have to be Real Life. (Of course, all of my other favs update about twice a month...*hint**hint*)

Good luck on getting in the newspaper! And tell me which newspaper it's printed on so I can subscribe!

Well, good luck, and I know that we haven't heard the last from you.

Oh, and Techni mentioned something about The Nolans: Try, but I'm not sure what she meant. ;)

Aw, I'm gonna miss this comic.

Anyway, I like the way the comic has developed over the years a LOT, especially WAI WAI NAOMI! It will be quite interesting to see the old Nolans... but..um..new. Or something. Perhaps you could post some of your character redesigns for us to see every now and then? ^_^

Good luck on all your endeavours Josh. Hope your dreams come true in spectacular fashion, that you post all your rejection letters on the site so we may laugh at the Company's Stupidity, and that you finally find some contentment and happiness in your life and in The Nolans (or whatever you decide it should be called). :D

Josh, I've never been good at saying meaningful things, but I'm gonna try.

I haven't been reading The Nolans as long as some of the other major fans have (I started somewhere around Buckethead's death in the RumbleBots storyline), but I was instantly hooked. I read a few of the "family strips" in the newspapers (Foxtrot, Baby Blues, etc.), but The Nolans...it beat 'em all on my list. (Yeah, you heard me. I think it's better than Foxtrot. And I'm a nerd. :)) It still remains one of my favorite webcomics, even after I discovered Keenspotters like CRFH!!! and the late Pentasmal. There's just something about it that I can't put my finger on that makes me love it. I'm going to miss it, of course, and if and when The Nolans (or whatever you're going to rename it) makes it into the papers, I'll still be reading for as long as it exists. It's just that good. I honestly don't know why; it just is.

Josh...You rock. Even if you do like Pokemon.

I just re-read Season Zero, and I realized that we haven't seen Kristy's family, Dee Dee, nor Jessica for a LOOOOONG time.
