[rant time]Meh, from what I understand, its the hip and trendy thing to be a mindless drone, but its also hip and trendy to hate Bush, except the latter group of people think they're more free thinking for some unknown reason.
Its one thing to form a logical opinion, quite another to join it for the sake others do. Being an anti-Bush/America wanker is just as mindless as being a pro-Bush/America wanker. Just as it was popular to support America directly after the 9/11 attacks, now its popular to hate America's actions.
*Shrugs*
Such is the way with opinion. But I also think that nothing earns support like victory. The way America is going to be viewed depends on its tactical handling of the situation in Iraq. If it can avoid another bungle like last time and turn it into an overwhelming victory (or at least play it off that way), the current administration should be able to get some more kick out of the patriotism bandwagon, so to speak.
An regarding English opinions towards the U.S.; of course they hate Americans, but from what I understand, they hate most everything nowadays...the U.K. is in quite a but of a pickle as I understand it. Right now they're trying to decide whether to suck America's fat greasy corporate cock or the E.U.'s Hairy, STD laden Socialist French She-man cock. Not surprisingly, they're finding both options equally repulsive.[/rant]
Sorry for bringing politics into your forum Krow, I just found the topic a bit relevant.
