Indextemplate problems....

Post by King-of-Storms »

Every very days, when my comic updates, I relize that it's using the older template for the index page, rather then the one I uploaded a week ago, or the previosu night...

It happened today, and it just happened again, when I went to update my index template (I know this, since when I replaced the file, before updaing, it showed the olde rfile, which is 1KB bigger)

What is the problem, and how can I fix it?

All right, here is what I have been doing:

First, I copy and paste the indextemplate.html from it's location, on my hard drive. Then, I log into my ftp server, using IE ftp program, where I then go to workspace, and paste it there. I then, say yes to copy over the old one, and, I then go to the members page, and update the index page. No problems.

Then, when my comic automaticlly updates, it uses the index template that I copied over, which should of been deleted, but, somhow manages to survive, and is now in the place of the new template, the one I just uploaded.

I've been using this keenspace account, for the last three months, and this has only started, in the last week

YOU USE IE FOR FTP?!! ARE YOU MAD?!!

Sorry about that. I've a problem with people using software in a way it's not meant to. *takes meds.* Try using SmartFTP, it's slick, powerful, and above all, free.

The site looks OK to me. You're latest comic's the one for the 25th, right? You may just need to clear your browser's cache.

Try deleting the old indextemplate before uploading the new one. I had a similar problem once, but that solved it.
Taito Country - The Comic!
Now with actual strips by Tei/Disk! Because the real artist is still lazy...
