That's a very nice comic today (2002-10-14), James. You may have a gold star.

I stayed up 'til 4am exactly, finishing this one. So like it. I'm pretty happy with it.
As well you should be. Me, I'm just happy that Riboflavin's updating again. I was afraid it was gone for good! It's one of my favourites. Nice art today, for sure. 'Etta's looking supa-fly.

Kula still has nothing on `Etta. And that's saying a lot.

You wanna know anything about how cultural-historical factors affect Ainu society? PS the Ainu are the native people of Hokkaido Japan, but Shhh, the Japanese government insists that Japan is monoethnic. :o

Hmm, I seem to remember discussing the Ainu on a messageboard somewhere... it might have been with Hard, or another Row denizen...

Tell all, JD!

Friends on trip to people while in Hokkaidou: So, are there any Ainu around?

People: Ainu? Wha....?

Note: more people seem to know about Ainu outside of Japan through their Japanese class's history sections than people there. Hmm... An exaggeration, but still---yikes. What's a Native American?

Ainu tend not to be visible when they can help it, it cuts down on the amount of discrimination, bullying and other poor treatment.

I'm not surprised most people don't know anything about them.

Kayano Shigeru's doing something good though. I like him alot. And he's in politics. (That's how impressive this guy is)
