NetherOak ver.2

Post by ZOMBIE USER 9264 »

I'm redrawing the original 34 issues of NetherOak.

This will provide greater character development, increase the story line and, in my opinion, give greater value to the story as a whole.

...

Does anyone care, or am I doing this pretty much for my own entertainment?

Ok. But will you still be doing comics past no. 57? Or just draw the first 34 then continueing with the story?

Since there is no due date on the re-issuing: no. This project will not interfere with regular NetherOak production. Continuing what I have is more important.

Basically, I just want the series to feel whole. The major transition the comic underwent bothers me and makes me feel as though I didn't plan properly.
They will be archived in a separate page.

Basically what I'm asking is if anyone is interested; if this is even worth doing?

I wouldn't do it. I mean, why not just make new comics? I'm sure no-one will mind if they look different...

Well, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't do it.

Actually, I'm thinking of redoing some pages too. Or at least smacking in a prologue. since it wont mess up the new comics time slot, go for it. But you should do them all first before posting em.

I mean will any of you care?!

This is going to happen. I will re-draw those comics.

What I'm asking is if anyone will read them and care that I did them? Will any one appreciate a completed series? Is anyone interested at all or is this just for me by me?

Hey, once it's done, it's done. Re-doing it would take, like, lots of time and stuff. Why not just make new ones?

Oh. Well, still, honestly, I wouldn't really care much...

I doubt others really would either.

That's like, why I don't re-do some of my first ones that looked REEEALLY bad.

Well, if you did, i know i'd re-read them. It would also look nicer on the eyes for newbies to your comic.

Well I'm all for it. Everytime I look back in my own archives (which are short as it is) I cringe at the earlier works. I look forward to seeing the re-done strips.

That sounds... really tedious. I'd love it if my old comics could suddenly be redone in my newer drawing style, but actually doing it doesn't sound like fun to me.

If you're an ultra-perfectionist, go for it. Personally, I'd rather devote my time to new projects. I'm already planning Krakow 3.

I think it's a great idea, and I'll read them. Hell, this stuff is free and for fun, there's no rule against making the first go-around the rough draft and starting again. I'd like to see what changes.

Wow! That sounds like a tough project, but if you think you have the time to continue updating on your regular schedule and do this at the same time I'm sure your readers will be pleased and impressed.

It sounds like a tough project... but I'd go back and read them all! It would be cool to see how you do the ol' skool Netheroak.

I sort of look at Mystery Castle as a big experimentation... So I personally would not redo my earlier work... But I do think that would be interesting to see...

Now y'all just wait 'till the sequel... I'm gonna use everything I learned to do some of the best work I can!

Just to chime in, yeah, I would definitely go back and read them all. I like your newer style, Razi, so it would be cool to see the earlier stuff redone to suit it. But I kind of liked the funness of your first few, too. :D
