Prayers, please

Post by IndigoMoon »

I'd like anyone who's willing to please pray for my family. My grandmother left us this evening. She'd been in and out of the hospital for the past year and, though we know she's under God's care now, it's so hard to let go. I'm just glad she didn't have to suffer any more than she did, it was pretty peaceful until the very end. We'd been expecting it for so long, I really don't know how to feel.. I'd just like for you guys to remember my family and pray that God helps us cope with this loss.

Thank you.

Lord, you are my lover,
My longing,
My flowing stream,
My sun,
And I am your reflection.

I believe in the unimaginable power of prayer in any circumstance and never hesitate to share it when asked. My prayers are with you and your family. God Bless.

*nods* We shall be praying for you, yes ma'am. I lost my grandmother my freshman year of highschool. I was the one to find her, and it's... a very difficult thing to get over, even though it was expected. May God grant you the peace that passes all understanding.

hold close this well loved spirit
And those who miss her.

I've been there, too, Inidigo. It hurt then and there's still the dull ache from the void left behind that cannot truly be refilled.

But always recall, "Weeping may endureth for the night, but joy cometh with the morning."

The morning will come.

You have been, and still are, loved.

One of my grandfathers left in 1986 to be with God. I was 9 then. We were close. I still have memories of going with those grandparents to the zoo, to see movies, travelling in the giant brown Ford...

...In my last job, the path to work took my along a bike path through a cemetary. Doing this for a year, seeing people there often, made me realize I should pray for the people living, because they can still change.

My mother's father has never been a "people" person. He lost my respect, and I don't think I've called him "grandfather" in ten years.

anyways...

know you have a guardian
watching over you

I'm told I'm good a praying. I just pray what I see, do what I can, and let go of the rest, leaving it in God's hands...but I've gone on too long already... ...

I've had to deal with allot of loss and my thoughts are with you.

It's can be harder to handle when It's expected, because the grieving is not as noticeable as it is drawn out as well.

Try not to fall in the trap of feeling guilty because you don't know how to feel.

If you need your space, take it but don't close off to your family and friends.

I am, as I'm sure everyone here is, available if you need to talk, some advise or just someone to listen.

**snugs** I will, don't worry...it's always sad to see someone go.

I'm sorry for your loss and I will do my best to keep you in my prayers. I have never lost anyone in my 17 years on Earth so I am unsure of how to comfort you other than giving you my best wishes.
