Funny how that works out huh? School, which lasts a good 6 hours as well as the homework connected to it, gives you more time to do comics.

Nutty, ain't it?

I'm exactly the way you are Joe, my updates start again next Tuesday.

[unrelated]And check out my new, keen web page design! :D [/unrelated]

well you have to understand, the only time i ever draw is durring class. at school i have nothing better to do than draw all the time so that's what i do. at home i can barely stand to pick up a pencil. that's just how i work.
yeah, so anyway, read Pickle Jar.

I'm very much the same way. But that convention thing really got me drawing again...
It seems people actually READ my comic. I don't want to disapoint them!
Unlike a certain person I know, who's name is Joe, but who I won't name. Oh wait..

I believe the correct phrase would be "drawing well."

..........

Just thought I'd add.

indeed it is.

i just didn't (forgot to, was distracted and was lazy) add the next couple words that would make the sentence grammatically correct.

c'mon, i updated! they're coming a lot more frequently now, i promise. i'm just having trouble with the fight scene.

and joe, i didn't go to the con. and people don't read my comic! last month i had 6687 page views. and that was almost double the month before it, because of my presentation in the cartoonist's choice awards. there's really no one to dissapoint besides you.

so what were the next couple of words?

speaking of horribly maimed and impaired simians, it sure would make me feel better if it took you forever to draw ...stuff.

how long does it usually take you to draw something like <a href="http://picklejar.keenspace.com/d/20020709.html">this</a> or <a href="http://picklejar.keenspace.com/art/goboom1.jpg">this</a>?

oh, i dunno. a couple of hours maybe. i get that question a lot and i still have yet to time myself. i know i drew the Things That Go Boom teaser in chemistry class last year...so that probably took something under an hour and a half. and i don't remember how long it took me to draw the Heroes For Sale page...but i think i started drawing at midnight and had it uploaded before i went to bed. it's not that high of quality so it couldn't have taken that long.

okay! that makes me feel kinda better.

most of the comics i draw are done in under twenty minutes.

i'd like to think that given an hour or two i could approach the damned niftiness that you have presented so often.

thanks!
have you ever noticed that in hero teams there's always one quiet guy who kicks all the ass, and then there's the lesser sidekick-type guy that makes all the witty remarks? i just wondered; what if there was a team where they were both the witty one. plus ass-kicking, of course
