I know, that's how I always felt about needles too. I can barely get one without hyperventilating, and I can never look.

For some reason, I just like doing graphic depictions of icky and uncomfortable things. Maybe it's therapeutic or something. Heh, maybe I'm just twisted.

justinpie is right. I had just finished eating and I wasn't expecting to see that. It's really gross.
Also, I lost someone really close to me because of heroin. So I guess I'm a little sensitive when it comes to needle drugs.

Then again, it's your comic and you needed to draw that to advance the storyline.

I think it's the close-up on the veins that bothered me, hahaha.

Oh my gosh, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Basically I did the gross drawing, knowing that it'd probably bother people, because I felt that was a better route to take than cleaning it up to be inoffensive.
