Welcome to Montrose Academy.
This board is here for discussion and humor.
These forums shall keep a clean, friendly atmosphere; whether they are used extensively, or by a few.
If you cannot hold a civil conversation or hinder the ability of others to have fun, you will be asked to leave.
Last, harassment of any sort will not be tolerated (i.e. newbie hazing, a "shout" war between individuals, etc.). As stated, this board is here for the benefit of all, not for a few.
That said, I hope you post the most inane, insepid, stupidic stuff you can. As long as its funny. None of that "Its a wombat" crap.
I reserve the right to add more rules if I feel it is necessary.
Thanks.

My middle name is Fosters. That's Australian for Beer.
Since we are already getting some of the negativity that scares others away, here goes.
Off topic posting will not be tolerated (Not that off-topicing isn't acceptable; but it must be constructive to the topic). For example, if the topic is titled, lets say "So about this new comic..." it is generally inferred that this is pertaining to the new comic. Posters are not to take the topic in a totally random direction such as, hypothetically in this situation:
Starting a fight, and beating each other up.
Making Robots appear.
Talking about said Robot.
If you feel the need to post something that will take the topic in a 180 from its original intent, instead, please post a new topic.
And on that note, these forums are not for Role-playing. They are for discussion about most anything, be that about the comic or something you found on the 'net, or just shooting the proverbial "stuff".
Role-playing is deemed having extended posts that follow a story theme. An example:
P1: I make big pie.
p2: I eat pie.
P1: I summon demon to beat you.
p3: *wanders in* I like pie. Do you like pie? P3(1) Yes, I like pie P3(2) But pie is good. Kill the demon!
P2: *Beats demon down* I shall summon stupid stuff. Blah!
In the past, I have had a number of emails from others telling me that they would enjoy using the forums of Montrose, but feel lost because of the said Role-playing.
And quite frankly, I don't like it. Role-playing is fine.... in a Role-playing forum. Therefore, post here. Discuss here. Show off pictures, drawings, or a link to something humerous. Just don't Role-play here.
Past incarnations of the forums were ok, but eventually got bogged down to only 10 people posting because of lack of Moderators. With this forum, I hope to make it more accessible to everyone. Again, if you feel slighted by these changes, I am sorry. But there are other forums, and you can go there instead. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
