Actually, I find life more of a sadistic, capricious harpy. She gives and takes when she pleases, all to the benefit of some and the tearing at vitals of others.

And how come no one uses the word "harridan" anymore? It's way more fun than "bitch."

Also,"harlot" is a much more fun word than "whore". On that note, I once had some friends that made up and used the word "slore" as a derogatory term, like a combo of "slut" and "whore".

Life is like this forum. People wander in and out and you only know who a few of them are. When you're bored and lonely and you want something to happen, usually nothing does unless you take some initiative. And when things start happening, they usually go off in some strange direction nobody expected.

Life is also like the letter X.
You pretty much take it for granted most of the time, but there are certain situations where you realize how valuable it is - like if you're playing Scrabble or something and realize you have the letters Y-L-O-P-H-O-N-E all lined up and you're like "Damn, I wish I had an X" and you're trying to think of ways to use all the other letters you have instead, like BYLOPHONE or FLYLOPHONE or something, and suddenly you find out that you DID have an X, but it was accidentally flipped over so you didn't see it. And everything is better again, and you're like "Thank god for that X."

And then you go back to neglecting it again.
