atlanta has been really nice -- the weather's hotter than i'm used to, but it hasn't been a problem at all so far.

Meaghan, of course, has been a real wodnerful addition to my life. ell, now, it's not my life anymore, but OUR life -- and the crazy thing is that for someone who used to be a total "i need my space" type of person, having OUR life is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. ^__^

Suffice it to say that all is fantastic, and life is GOOD. :D

Now if only a college would give me a job offer, I'd be all set.

let it snow, let it snow...

Post by Bluecanary »

just don't forget the sunscreen!
being extra crispy after fun in the pool isn't fun at all.

that boy of yours, meg, is going to miss the snow.
i don't know how it is in atlanta but here in the hick captial of the states, aka arkansas, it only snows once a year. twice if your lucky.
and it doesn't last long at all. maybe three days at the most.

yeah, a sign that I ALREADY miss the snow:

Yeasterday, while at MegS' house, we were walking in the azalea bushes in the backyard (now don't be gettign any naughty ideas, you silly heads! Besides, here parents were within earshot), when I saw some heavy equipment covered up by a tarp.

My first reaction to it, of course, was to say, "oh, so THIS is where you hide the Snow Blower, huh?"

It was a chipper shredder, dammit. Now I'm all sad and weepy about missing my Snow Blower in the North.

Even if I couldn't use it this time of year in Canada anyway.

Dammit.

Me, I chose to move to a city with an anti-snow shield. No, really. It seems like four times out of five, there will be snow to the north of DC, snow to the south of DC, snow to the west of DC, and what does DC get?

Freezing rain. Has anyone ever seen a tree bent over because it has an ice coating all over it? Isn't it scary? And walking on iced grass is weird.

If we're lucky, we might get half an inch of snow on the ground sometime in February.

I want snow too!

But for now, I'll have to settle with fudgesicles and potato chips...

snow machines?

Post by Bluecanary »

i heard back during the winter olympics that they had machines to make snow in case there wasn't enough...

maybe you could save up some money, damonk.
you could make snow men in july!
i realize they wouldn't last long, but that's not the point. 8^)P
