George Bernard Shaw taught me this one: old and wise.

Veggie Patch rocks, by the way. If it's got a "Veggie Patch" logo and is a cylindrical cross section of compressed vegetable, I've probably had it. I tried once to fake Katsu Ramen with the "chick'n cutlets," but they're breaded for health, not crunchiness, even after toasting, so it's not the same in soup.

Parliamentary Democracy or Republic?

Parliamentary Democracy.
(and Degrassi High was a Canadian show, I believe, so maybe that's why it's unfamiliar)

I say Flintstones!
*really wanted to go visit that movie set*
Though a Jetsons movie set would probably be even cooler.

Oooh...tough question.

Thinking about Archie always reminds me of how, in my early college "fan fiction I hope has been burned" period, I wrote a couple things along the lines of "Archie meets the 'Mirror, Mirror' episode of Star Trek meets the 'cyberpunk' genre." Mostly because at that point in time, I thought everything could be improved with guns and cyborg stuff.

I'm not sure that's completely changed.

The answer is pretty easy, though: it's Veronica.

Betty, although her last name appears on my drivers' license as well, is a manipulative shrew who merely pretends to be a naive small-town girl. I'm sure she and Jughead ran away together when they were fourteen, but after a day and a half, realized it wasn't going to work out, and came back. Archie doesn't know about this "journey of discovery," and it would probably destroy his friendship with Jughead if he found out at this late date.

Veronica, on the other hand, is a cosmopolitan lover of the arts. She may enjoy the finer things in life, but don't mistake her careerist assertiveness for greed and shallowness. Veronica also has a better stylist than Betty; she probably recommended a plastic surgeon to Betty for the enlargement Betty clearly has gotten; some day she will use this secret against Betty, but not without cause.

Another fun thing about Veronica is that Mr. Lodge is probably a member of the Illuminati. With a name like "Lodge," he has to be at least a Freemason, yes? How do you think he got his wealth?

So I'm voting for Veronica.

My question:
Aspartame or Saccharine?

Aspartame. (saccharin tastes like chemicals and I don't want tumors growing inside my squishies)

First up...excellent Archie analysis!
I feel the need to contribute.
I had a different take on Betty...I always thought she was a genuinely nice person, but terminally stupid. Archie will marry her when they graduate, but always be seeing roughly eight other girls on the side, hookers not included.
And Veronica will become a powerful businesswoman, and keep Archie around as her boy toy for her amusement.
Betty will know of this, but gradually come to passively tolerate her husband's philandering, getting more and more bitter and resentful, one day culminating in a violent episode that no one in Riverdale speaks of again. Except old Pop Tate in the soda shop, who will tell the story if you throw him a shiny nickel.
Hee, I have some more theories on Archie and his gang, if the subject ever comes up again.
But back to the game!
Moby.
...Floor, or ceiling?

Violent Episodes & c.

Post by Al_fayyed »

Tough question! I'd have to say ceiling, because it's really hard to sleep when rain is falling on one, no matter how nice one's linoleum may be.

Man, I really wish they had that in the Archie comics. DC now does a whole "Elseworlds" line where they can do stories like "what if the Wayne family found Kal-El in a Kansas cornfield?" It's too bad Archie is too straight-arrow to do something like that.

conifer or deciduous?

Gasp! He'd be, like, SuperBat!
...conifer. They don't have all the mess of losing leaves in the winter, although leaves can be cool.

Bubble wrap. You can't really DO anything with styrofoam peanuts, except rub them together to make a really annoying sound. Popping bubbles is satisfying and addictive.
Also, in that Superbat situation, another question I might ask is: What the hell is the Wayne family doing in a Kansas corn field?

A very good question! 0_o
Maybe they went on a vacation to the countryside to escape the monotony of their city lives, and wandered off and got lost.
...
Obscenely wealthy capitalist cartoon characters:
Richie Rich, or Scrooge McDuck?
(Side note! I LOVE the Simpsons theory that Casper is the ghost of Richie. "Perhaps he realized how hollow the pursuit of money is, and took his own life")
