Oh Lord Dennis, you know I hate it when you say that. Let me guess, all good things(like AnnaMae and Scott KISSING ~hint hint~) come to those with patience right? Although Erin coming on to Scott could turn into an intriguing twist of events. It's obviously that Kevin likes Erin...so this could make up a seriously weird set of love triangles. Oh Lord...my brain is becoming immersed in the comic too much I think. LOL

Normal, uh, please define normal. We are talking a comic strip that is influenced at times by that dangerous narcotic called Anime. Trigun, good series. Now he's 'threatening' us with stuff from Outlaw Star. The second he says he got ideas from DBZ, I'm going hunting for a webartists head.

Seriously though, when the Trigun angle first started it was 'oh god, the webartist is looking desperately for ideas' but its actually working out quite well. Probably also got the idea from another comic strip called Self Insert.

Good art, good story, and mostly believable characters. Ok, some off the wall things like when he broke the fifth wall some time back, but its still a good strip.

I'm sorry. But I'm going to take a tad bit of offense to this. I came up with the idea for FOGClub Adventure and it's universe hopping well over a year ago. Long before Liz and Rob started Self Insert. I even requested that they don't touch Trigun as soon as I learned of their comic's premise to avoid such comments as "he's ripping SI off." But that's the problem with me you see. I come up with ideas that I don't impliment for months, and then someone beats me to the punch. Hell the new Digimon series (Digimon Frontier) uses a varaition of an idea I have yet to use as well. I didn't rip them off, yet the idea is similar, and I really don't want to be accused of stealing ideas from them when the time comes.

Sorry for getting mad, but this happens to me a lot. I get an idea, but before I can use it, some else out of nowhere does, and I have to change my initial idea so I'm not accused of stealing.

I must apologize as I phrased it poorly, about having gotten the idea from Self Insert. I should have said it was similar to an idea used by them. Of course with a name LIKE Self-Insert you expect such things to begin with. I didnt mean to offend, I just phrased it poorly.

In regards to creating an idea, here is one that happened to me. Rather amusing at that. I write fanfics at times. Well, I came up with an idea and began writing it, only to find out another author(a good friend of mine) was working on a story that was almost identical. The core idea was the same, how we were implementing it was drastically different. It was scary how similar the core idea was though, just the method of causing the change differed a bit. The focus of the story differed, but the backdrop was almost identical, the fact that we both had similar goals in the story was even scarier yet.

So, I do understand, I've had ideas galore for a fanfic, only to find out its already been done to death. Its hard to be original, the best you can do most of the time is take a used idea and put your own personal spin on it.

Self-Insert has them dealing with the core characters in order to achieve their goal. You have them not even associating with the characters, just in the same area as them. Your goal is more personal(find the missing friend), while theirs is a touch more abstract in ways(find a way home).

Anyway, apologies for implying you took the idea from them. This is as you said, sadly a very common occurence. I had that happen to me as well with the story I mentioned. Someone thought I was continuing the work that he'd started. I confirmed that it wasnt.
