It's A) damn funny and B) done by Jhonen Vasquez. I love that man's work. And he's also a sexy bitch. Or at least Alex thinks so...Squee! ^^

Invader Zim is a cartoon on Nickolodeon(sp?). It was created and co-written by Jhonen Vasquez, whom was responsible for such underground goth comics such as Jhonny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee!. It's a damn funny cartoon, and although it's a bit 'happier' than most of Jhonen's other works, it still has the same morbid charm that Squee, JTHM and i feel sick had. It's worth the watch.

I don't think that Daji looks much like Zim... far far too much hair, and the eyes are all wrong. But points to the person who mentioned it... the story is reminding me a little of that show. Except that Malachai has no idea what Daji is, just that he's weird.
The comic's pretty interesting so far. I'm glad you explained about Malachai's name... my first thought was that he was named after the biblical Malachai... although I'm sure that that had something to do with it (just not within the strip), given that this comic is at least partially religous in nature.
