Lines or points, yes. It's a very strange world. I wouldn't like to be a point.

Indeed. It takes great skill to blow up salad.

Heh, thanks. I'm just no good in the kitchen. Luckily I didn't burn anything too badly (except the salad and the pan) and I had shooed the smoke out of the house by the time my parents arrived home.

But it wasn't that hard.

If I may jump in (I'm sorry!) and add MY thoughts on time travel... The problem with the theory that subatomic particles are able to travel back in time, things with mass...after all subatomic particles still have mass...are said to not have that ability as you previously stated. To travel back in time, a particle's rest mass must be absolute zero. A gamma ray, which is just energy, could probably travel back in time because it doesn't have mass at all. It can penentrate even the thickest of barriers.

...when did we start theorizing that subatomic particles can travel back and forth in time? And what being at absolute zero have to do with anything?

You can't play Chrono Trigger at absolute zero!!!

Or anything else, for that matter.

It caught my eye when PM said something in an earlier post about subatomic particles being able to travel back in time. I said that that's impossible because it is theorized that to travel back in time, mass has to be at absolute zero.

Wrong. Photons have no mass and yet they travel at... the speed of light. Duh.

Go back to Physics 101.

This is true, but technically isn't a photon not a particle? To be a particle it has to have mass. Like you said, photons have no mass. Therefore a photon or gamma ray could very well time travel.
I haven't taken physics yet thank-you-very-much, however I do know a thing or two about subatomic particles.

First, absolute zero refers to molecular motion, or rather, the complete lack thereof. Second, photon's are particles, just light particles. Not a particle of matter, mind you, but a particle nonetheless.

The pyramids wern't, but the Nazca lines were, as well as stonehenge and the olmec statues. Also Easter Island. The aliens use to visit the Aztec, Mayan, and Olmec people, but since the rise of technology, they have ceased to visit because of their fear of humans destroying them. Now all we have of their brief period of visitation are the signs that I mentioned above.
