best thing its dam near mint ...cant wait till i show those typeR punks how american muccle plays.

dont worry other than a 442 hood and paint scheme and ralli rims the exterior is going to remain pretty stock

well it's good you bought a merican car, however the 76 cutlass is not a muscle car, i had a 77, with the 350, the 350 then only had 165hp stock, it's a shitty engin, stay away from the 75-77 olds 350's they suck ass, my flippin' chev astro is faster, take my advice get a new motor, try to find a pre 73 olds 455 rocket, because all gm engins from the mid to late 70's are junk if you push them too hard they'll crack(literaly)

well I know the 75-77 350's blow
(rated 180hp 280lf/ft) and I would like to eventually drop a 455 or a 454.But what really got me is the immacuate condition of both engine and car...and for 1000$ , besides I dont have a super well paying job so I have gas to consider. The two other cars I was looking for were 76-81 datsun 280zx turbo (u can kill me cuz its an import but those cars look straight) and a 72-76 Thunderbird with a 351W . It'll Still eat rice
Moonlight Shadow Racin - 76 Cutlass ..2 cups JDM and a pinch of Rice

well a 454, is not a good idea, and a 455 will cost you, and the rear ends in those things an't so great, get a new rear end, pull one from the wreckers from a mid 80's chev caprice(really well built) and get a 80's chev 350, i've built a 350 up, and for about 1200$ you can squess about 400 ponnies out of her

Lol started the car up after buying a battery....and for being stored for 5 years it ran almost perfect , almost id say cuz i blew a fuel pump gasket and it vomited gas in an almost endless stream.
Well looks like ill be dishing out 5$ for a new gasket then 50$ for some shop to put it in.Id do it myself but I need someplace clean so I dont get dust dirt and crap in it ...

leave the gas tank alone, they never die, just leak, i would change all the rubber feul lines, 2 things you should look at because it was stored for 5 years, the tourque converter probably corroded, and the diff probably is too, not a for sure thing but better safe than sorry, hey i'd like to see this car sometime, because i too think they're sharp looking cars give me a call 901 5492, but in any case, don't drive the shit out of it, just because you have the power doesn't mean you have to use it, ahhh who am i kidding, Fire it up!!!!!

yeah thats the first thing im going to do
1 spark plug wires , and +4 plugs
2 new rubber seals everywhere
3 Zmax (if carrol shelby endorses it , it mus be good)
4 k/n filter
5 valve cover, not very importtant as they're not leaking just yet but the drivers does have a hairline crack.
6 new tires for the rear, dont know what im going to get right now wanted to get a 315 but I just dont have the Cash right now.
What tires would you reccomend
