I love your comic strip... I just found it yesterday! Anyway, I read somewhere that 80 percent of your characters are based on real people. So, is the real Julie really so ticklish? That is so funny!

You must be new to the forum. Welcome aboard to the madness that is me.

Jules' full name is Julianne Marie, after two friends of mine, Julie from college and Anne Marie from high school.

They both have their ticklish spots, but nothing severe. Julie (she since changed her name in real life) is ticklish mostly on her sides. Her then-boyfriend-now-husband would inflict her, not I. Anne Marie was ticklish on her feet, though I was only a witness to this too, dash it all.

But I also threw in a little of my ex-girlfriend from many years ago. Now, she I would torture personally. (Maybe that's why she's my EX-girlfriend...)

Ah, but I must be careful. I believe that I remember all the ways she knows to break my arms, but I can't be sure. Plus, she's learning karate...

As one half of the inspiration for Jules, I can tell you I'm fairly ticklish. OK, very ticklish. As in, if I say "Stop tickling me or I'm going to pee," you'd better STOP.
