This post ties in with the current poll. In a mad scheme to get more forum activity, I want to know why you voted for the character that you voted for... what is it about a character that makes him or her your favorite? I'm pretty surprised that Newton got quite a few votes, since I thought bitterness towards unethical behavior was out of style. In any case, let me know! Please? I'm so lonely.
------------------

I loved for Dannius, cause he was interesting.
That's a really sad response, but this is a REALLY empty board.
Whatever....

------------------

So very, very empty...
I'm sure Dannius would be very happy that you loved for him, since he hasn't been very good at loving people himself. Don't worry, Dannius fans, there's a good chance that we haven't seen the last of that wily little elf!
------------------

"I loved for Dannius" What the hell is wrong with me?
Well... In response to the new poll.. Bring Dannius back, but make it fit with a story line. He was a personal favorite, but that's just my opinion.
After all, I loved for him.
------------------

You know, Rob, I have to wonder if taking out Dannius was a bit of conscious irony on your part with regards to the polls. I mean, first we [as in the readers as a democratic body] vote for reporting to King Majesty as the next storyline, and then we vote Dannius our favorite character. And then, suddenly, the storyline becomes such a convenient way to pull Dannius out of the NEQ team. Ah, maybe it's just all my imagination.
At any rate, I still say that I like NEQ for the way its characters interact, so I find it difficult to pinpoint any specific character as my favorite. In my poll I voted for Newton because his lines remind me of the way some of the humorous frames in manga work -- not quite explicit in what's supposed to be funny, but clear to the point that you'll get it without doubt.

The underlying theme in NEQ is political commentary, even though it might not be evident right now. The polls that affect the storyline are interesting since they show the way democracy works... you vote and later might not like the results of what consequences the winning option brings. I think that Dannius would've remained with the party if any of the four other options had been chosen, but I can't be sure, since I just make NEQ up as I go along.
Just recently, realizing that the Presidential election is in November, I decided to integrate politics into the upcoming October event that originally was just going to feature the undead. What's scarier: politics or flesh-eating zombies? We'll see.
------------------

I like Dannius because just cracks me up. He's funny even when he's not doing any punchlines. It's his facial expressions, and his personality... I always liked characters like that.
...
100th Post!
------------------
