I was just wondering, if we sold t-shirst, mugs... you know the usual assortment of crap, would any of our faithful readers be interested?
Or how about Man-Man the board game... or original art...
What would interest you... the none Man-Man staff!

Ok, I'm a bit curious or something.
Both of you seem to be acting like you just came back from a Hari Krisha Amway Weekend. What Gives?
Boxjam got spotted. Coolies and good for him. The fact is, though that a quick look at the list of other spotted comics pretty much determines that those that are chosen have precious little to do with quality or readership (and absolutely nothing to do with regular updates). My guess is that it's basically a purely personal decision by Chris Cosby and Darren Bleuel (neither of whom I read, by the way).
I'd also note that the more successful web comics out there aren't even on Keenspace, and here I'm thinking Sluggy Freelance, PvP and Kevin and Kell.
Are you good? Yes, I'd say you were. Granted, that opinion is coming from on 37 year old married computer nerd who writes a goofy web-serial, but both your writing and art are significantly different and better than most of the crap I've seen.
If you two want to make a living from ManMan, get the hell out there and pimp like there's no tomorrow. Go to comics conventions and talk to folks, advertise your strip, treat it like the business that you need it to be. Find any available avenue and get your comic on it.
If you're doing this for fun and personal ego gratification, that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish. In that case presume that you have legions of rabid, albeit silent fans. Whole vast armies of mute worshippers that, although as active as the Terra Cotta Warriors, are faithful to the end.
That's the pleasant dillusion I give myself, and it works rather nicely.

Well, provided the beer holds out.

And the prozac.

Mmm.. Prozac and beer.

------------------

Myself, I'd love a reasonably-priced Man-man Mousepad.

And I think TA needs a Man-man sedative

So I guess there are votes for ManMan crap!!!
And whether we were keenspotted or not isn't the point... We're still the new kids on the block (not the band... no one wants to be the band). We're doing what we've always done, and that's have fun with it... ONLY THAT COUNTS!!!! Being Keenspotted would have been nice... but it still won't pay the bills even if we were on Keenspot... the only thing that would pay the bills... well... maybe the world needs a ManMan Cartoon!!!

MAN-MANley boxer shorts. Or even better, Crispin Glover cockroach shorts with the Man-Man branding somewhere on it.

Not to throw excise tax on the fire, (although it wouldn't be a bad idea, really) I think that Cafe Press isn't exactly friendly to those not resident in the United States. I remember brave Cananananananadian JIM making mention of a mug that turned out costing a good deal more than he expected due to various taxes, tarriffs, shipping costs, payola, etc.

Might be wise to go either check out cafepress, or try ordering some product, to see what the experience is like for those who don't have blue in their flags.

I actually bought something from Cafepress once... it wasn't as painful as some US/CAN transactions I've had in the past... but I think a kick as Man-Man t-shirt or Frenchy shirt would rock the... Casbah... sorry, I got nothing.... can't finish that sentence no way no how.

I would be fully behind a Man-Man tea cozy - in fact, I think I'd as far to say that I'd be all over it.

The mug to which TA refers was actually from cafepress. I don't begrudge the $50 Cdn or so I ended up paying for it - it's a nice mug - but when the Taliban drops by and starts railing about decadent Western society, that's always the first thing they bring up.
