Is it just me, or does the late Bryce bear more than a passing resemblance to Errol?
As for saying the sooth, I'd assumed that doves were rather expensive nowadays (primary reason that attempts at road-side dove stands have failed, after all.)
Wonderfully detailed close-up of old Tiresias, though. Very nicely rendered, Mr. Burke.
Thanks Em. Long time no see.
As for Bryce looking like Errol, yes, he's a dead ringer.
Ba dmm tssh...
------------------

...and kudos form Denouement Brown -- it's never a bad idea to aim your humor at English Majors.
------------------

Thanks, Scott.
The ideal would be if someone has to look uo the word, and then decides that the strip still isn't funny.
That's my goal.
------------------

Thanks BOxer-
say that gives me an idea- perhaps what the strip really needs is a splash of color here and there...
------------------

Yeah, Denouement Brown was really funny.
I hope to see more of him.
Hey - you've been looking for a way to wrap
up the last Diabolica storyline, haven't you?
------------------

Never used these forums before, not the Keenspot ones. It makes me think something is going to be all weird and different from the other types of forums when I post in the back of my mind, but anyway that is off subject.
Considered making an account once before though when I checked your board while I was reading the Diabolica comic and it was on the part with the are you a model jokes and stuff near the end. I do wish you finished that story but I understand this drawing takes time and it's not like you make a real killing off this. Again another stay from subject I go on.
Yeah, I agree funny comics. Make
Thanks very much Chiatroll. It's always nice to have someone new on the forums, and I do like to hear from readers.
It's true I don't get tons of posters- and I'm not going to deny that it's nice to get feedback- but the ones I do get I tend to know and it's cool to hear who likes what. It's really interesting to me that I have NO idea what strips will be well received.
Other reasons I may not get posters is
(a) The strips only twice a week so there's really not loads to comment on
(b) I tend to update in the evenings- which is often (and correctly) seen as tardiness.
Bottom line, though- more activity on the message board would be nice, only because I like getting input , and I really appreciate those that do, but it's no biggie. However, i DO like active boards on comics I like (such as Boxjam's, for example) as ge often has stuff worth talking about.
I've said this over and over but I WILL wrap up Diabolica one day. It's a pity I had to stop doing it because I think I was just beginning to get a little better at it, but Diabolica IS a lot harder to write than the Grimbles- technically any way- as you've got to get the joke in and move the story along in three panels, and that's not always easy. With Diabolica I was resitricted to 3 or 4 panels, with the Grimbles it's just whatever I can fit onto a pice of 8 x 11 piece of paper.
Wow- this is the longest message I've posted in a while. Once again, I'm grateful for anyone who takes the time to post a message, and I hope you like today's one when I post it tonight.
------------------

I am slightly confused though. Why can't you change the format for diabolique? Just fit what you can of the story into whatever space you feel like putting up that day?
I'll grant that it won't make sense until you finish it, but I think it would improve the chances of your finishing it.
But I do tend towards some long-term idealistic goals. Whatever the artist requires to produce a good end product is acceptable. Of course, I also have notions like "sports are silly" and "What's wrong with a woman letting her leg hair grow to be as long as mine?"
I've been asked about Diabolica a bit lately. I'm going to look into when I can wrap up the last storyline- hopefully soon.
IF Diabolica comes back after that, it'll be in a different format- not a three panel comic strip but probably full page stories.
------------------
