Huh?

Postby Justinpie on Sat Feb 09, 2002 11:26 am

hehehe yeah, I was kidding. <P>My site's wierdest search result was probably someone looking for "asian little boys." <P>Though two of my characters are Tina and Brandon, so I get a lot of people looking for Teena Brandon from the movie "Boys Don't Cry." So for those of you starting out new comics, be sure to have characters named "Pamela", "Anderson" and "Lee" in your cast.

I ressurect this thread from the depths of the forum!
Behold the weirdness that people were looking for when they found my site:
"backups unemployed athletics effeminate hostile"
and
"prestidigitate covering bib psychopathic castles"
These are INSANE! They just seem like the product of a psychiatrist playing a free word association game with a deranged mental patient!

I think the bigger question is - why do those words lead them to coolville?

I'm pretty sure "unemployed", "effeminate" and "psychopathic" are all on the cast page!

No really fetishist ones this time, but some odd stuff nonetheless:
<B>famous canadian comics</B> (Yeah, that's me alright.)
<B>college roomies hell comic</B> (Maritza must be pissed; I keep stealing her search strings.)
<B>kandinsky profile</B> (Who was looking THIS up? What were they expecting to find?)
<B>white-out with pen</B> (Riiiiight...)
And my favourite right now:
<B>link:zg908okftw8c:www.tabcrawler.com/</B> (I wish I knew what THIS meant...)

Here's an odd one I got from last week:
"where can i find a comic on the 2002 olympics?"

Apparently Killroy and Tina is the official comic of the 2002 Olympic Games. With noteworthy entries in the Car Throwing competition.

Nothing specifically weird here, but I've been noticing that I get a ton of search string hits from people looking for pictures of angels and angel wings.
That, and various pornographic concepts.

New weirdness:
"tammi's little brother is dead."
Maybe that's why he's never been seen...
And another family related one!

Here are a few selected strings from this month's searches. Most only have one hit, but a few have more.

People finding Bhag have found it by searching for a variety of things.

Some appear to be trying to get a Dodge Dakota. I once did a little looking into on http://www.kickseveryonesbutt.com, which is the Dodge Dakota website, and so my newspost has now been linked to by Google on the following:

In case you're wondering, Shonn Glenn is listed by register.com as the contact for kickseveryonesbutt.com.

Some are clearly getting hit off of bloggy posts I did a while back:
  • bondeson london monster -- I talked about reading a book on the "London Monster," a serial attacker of women in the late eighteenth century, sometime in late December/early January.
  • giant electromagnets -- I suggested using these to taunt Scientologists
  • honey nut buzzbee -- He's the Honey Nut Cheerios bee. I have mentioned him a couple times, most notably with regards to General Mills' "You Rule School" Flash games site, which put me on the searchfor "gay trix rabbit" a couple months in a row.
  • jackie chan adventures parody -- I talked about the show, but not a parody thereof. I also mentioned the Mary-Kate and Ashley cartoon, which brings us to-
  • mary kate bikini -- because I also mentioned that they have a clothing line, including underwear. I have a big :o for anyone who was actually scanning on this string.

Finally, there are the ones that I just cannot fathom, as I don't remember having anything like this at all on my page:
  • ali salem satire -- okay, sure, I call myself "Akhmed Al-Fayyed," but...
  • freestyling skateboarding tips -- I just don't have any. I don't board.
  • judicial judgement processor -- I used to cut-n-paste spam I got, but for another website, on another server. This perplexes me.
  • mutant fruit banana -- :o I do not know what to say.

skank definition (heh, a rant from like last year.)
justin pierce fans (HAHAHAHAHA!)
recenter posterish ultraofficious keratosis metaphyseal (is this last thing even a word?!)

It's Metaphy-Seal! Look out, he's charging up his metaphysical attack power, and he's gonna crush Tokyo!

Heh, yeah, it's been too long since this topic has been in play. The best of mine for this month...
"guinea pig adoption - Sydney"
"keeps making me click"
"27070 ridge rd. coolville"
<somebody's address?
A couple themes here...I got
"x-men porn fan art", "x-men porn ass", and "x-men porn of the cartoon"
Another theme in search engine strings shows up whenever I link to or mention my honey Justin Pierce...there's a now-deceased actor of the same name, (best known as the star of the movie Kids).
A whole eleven percent of my search strings were for "Justin Pierce Pictures", in addition to someone looking for "Justin Pierce Wrestling".
But I bet you get even more of that from your site, eh, Justin?

Yeah, sometimes I'll get people looking for "Justin Pierce bios" and stuff, and I get this little happy boost before I realize they're looking for the director fellow, who has passed on. (That was a creepy headline to read, by the way.)
Here are my Justin Pierce searches on Killroy and Tina:

"Justin Pierce" (which could be an actual search for me, but not likely)
"Justin Pierce Gallery"
"Justin Pierce pic/pictures" (a director? who wants pics of a director?)
"Justin Pierce bio"
and as mentioned, "Justin Pierce fans."
The weird thing is that the searches for "Justin Pierce" alone are increasing every month (currently 10% of all my search entries), yet I didn't increase the usage of my name on the site since the comic started.

"Justin Pierce Wrestling" is something I'm responsible for, however.
Look for it on the Xbox and PC this fall.
