A call for aid (pretty please?)

I posted this on the Harleq thread, but then I realized that maybe most people had stopped reading that one. So here it is again (I'm persistent)-
And to Christine and anyone else who wanted to read more of my story, I've put up the second chapter, and proofread the first chapter, so that it's much nicer. You can find them here - Mira of Oz
Oh yeah, and this is a bit sooner that I'd wanted to put this up, but I'm going to be needing some illustrators sometime this winter or spring. Not too many pictures, as the more pictures there are, the more expensive the book is to publish. The place where I want to get my book done by is very small, and so all profits go to keeping the books published. I'll make no money, so I'm afraid that you wouldn't either. I've already got a couple of takers to do some pictures, so it's not like you'd be doing the whole book. It looks like it's going to be about 20 chapters, and the best the place I'm getting my book published by can do is three pictures per chapter, tops. More likely only two. Still, it's better than nothing. So if any of you out there want to help illustrate it, I'd be greatly appreciative, Christine, Chibi-Alex Chan, Dragoness, Bryan Wong, anyone else I can't think of. If you want to help, I'll give you more details after the book is compleatly finished (I'm about half way through writing in now). Don't worry, I'd give you three months or so to do the pictures, so you aren't too strained. Thanks!
~Chris
P.S. - One more thing, the pictures would have to be line art, nothing fancy. It's hard to reproduce highly shaded art at low cost. Color is out, for the moment as well, at least until I figure out who's going to do the front and back covers. It'd have to be inked, most likely. Like I said, I'll giver you more details after Christmas, or so. As a perk, all artists get to read it before it gets published. Everyone else just gets to read the first three chapters. Sheesh, I'm long winded.

Someone accepted the request?!?! YEA! Thanks so very much! Like I said, the book's got several more months of writting left, so it'll take some time - sometime after Christmas. It might take a year to bet it published, as the company is very 'backlogged' as it is. You make the third person who said that they'd help. Thanks! So far, that means that you'd have to illustrate 7 chapters. I'm trying to help get the number down, so that I don't strain people too much. I know how bad schedules can be. I'll tell you more after I've finished with the writting process. Thank you, thank you! How are you at drawing mirror fairies? I'll set up a page of Oz art for you guys so that you know what the established characters all look like. (and sorry that I forgot to list you in the call for artists)

Well, she's not your typical looking fairy. Read Chapter 2 to get a description of her. Though there will be a more 'typical' looking fairy that pops up later in the book, chapter five I think. I don't want to spoil the surprise, though.

Thank you Dragoness! Yes, you are more than welcome. I'm going to cap it off at 6 people doing the illustrations. Any more, and you guys aren't going to be drawing anything at all! So that means that I don't need anymore help at the moment. Sorry! But my eternal thanks to the six of you who're going to help.
(slightly modified from Lovarian Adventures):
Thank you Dragoness & Ringjo, & Emiko & Geejay & Christine & Gilshan! I might have to cap it off at 6 people, you guys are only going to be drawing about 13-18 pics as it is. Unless that's too much. I don't know. Em said she'd draw as many as I wanted, but tell me - Is 3-4 chapter headers (probley 1/4 page) probley 8-12 half pages & one full page too much to ask? I'd also need the title page, the copywrite page & other 'randoms' done. Not to mention the fact that I'm going to need a front and back cover. I have no idea how I'm going to choose who does those two. It really depends on what the company says. It'll take some time, espcially since I've still got another 125 pages left to write, or so. Wish me luck & insperation. I've still got two plot threads to catch up & mesh together. I'd better get to writting. Thanks again! (I sure hope that I don't need the original drawings for the publishers. How the spoon will I get them from The Phillipenes & Austraila? Very long distance mail, I suppose.)
Thanks!

I hope that scanning and sending work. If they don't... That'll be exciting. Wow, someone wants to read the third chapter. Well, check in about an hour, and it'll hopefully be up by then. I've still got a bit to type, and then the spell check. Tell me what you think of it so far, please! Anybody! I needs to hear some opinions! Thanks!

The third chapter is now up. It took forever to write it all, and the spell checking was murder. You'll see why when you read how Cap'n Bill talks. I also introduce my third of the four main characters, an Oz staple, Dorothy. Oh, and for those of you who were wondering what happened to Mira, I'm afraid that I'm eeeevil, and have got two storylines going on. You can find it here - Mira of Oz: Chapter 3
Thanks!

Sorry for spelling Ghislain wrong. I wasn't paying close enough attention. Though I could make the comment that Gillikin has two L's in the middle, not one, Christine. I just popped in to tell you that I've managed to scrape together a page of Oz illustrations. Only the first two sections are up, magic workers and mortals. The bestiary, inanimates & group pics will be up sometime soon. I'll tell you when it's all done. I need to find more pictures of Cap'n Bill & Trot! HELP! Specifically, Sky Island, 'cause it's got lots of good Trot & Cap'n Bill pictures, but several Button-Bright's, too. ::Sigh:: I'll get it done. And I'll finish the book, as well. I wrote three pages last night! http://www.angelfire.com/az3/gillikin/index.html

Bestiary is up. Go and check. I'm sick of page making. Have a gander, will you? Has anyone gone to look at any of it? Anyone? Tell me, please. Thanks!

Hey Gillikin! Your book is very good so far.. (um.. I'm just in the 3rd paragraph.. but I can tell these things)
Anyways.. I just wanted to point out a typo (so it doesn't get published that way)
In the first sentance of the 3rd paragraph, you put ON instead of OF .. okay?
Hope that doesn't offend you!
See ya! ^^
------------------

Hey! I just wanted to put up that I've got the page for the Ozzians who shouldn't be alive, but are, or Inanimates up. http://www.angelfire.com/az3/gillikin/index.html I'll get the group page up some day. And as far as writting goes, I've managed to get to the hunt for the gargoyle. But I'm not telling how far in that is.

Oh, I stuck him in with the animals. He really did fit into two different categories. Animals won out. I'll get the other section up soon, and I'll finish writting the 10th chapter by the end of the week.
------------------
