Geejay I want to start by saying that I love the comic. I have read Annie THG, Self-Insert, and Okashi Okashina but yours is the tops in my book.. probibly because I am a D&D gamer.
Now my question is could you or would you post the stats of the charicters in 3rd Edition or 2nd Edition format of D&D? Witch ever you are familliar with... I think it would and an interesting dimention to the comic for fans of the game like me.
Also cant I always vote for you from your page? It seems like sometimes there is a vote link there and sometimes there is not. I would like to vote every time so you can get the recognition that I think you realy deserve.
Keep up the good work.

It'll probably in 3rd Ed format as my 2nd Ed books are not with me. I bought the new 3rd ed core books. I can probably also list them in classic D&D stats (I have the D&D Cyclopedia book with me). It'll take a bit of work though so you may have to wait a while.
Also cant I always vote for you from your page? Calm down, watchman. As I've said, I don't have the 2nd ed books with me so it'll probably be 3rd ed stats. I don't know how you feel about the Classic D&D but it is also possible that I just do it in Classic D&D stats. It should still be pretty easy to translate it to 2nd or 3rd ed stats.
------------------

Clasic D&D is good to. I ran a fairly long campaign using just the old D&D Cyclopedia.
You know the one with the big sea serpent chasing after the man on horse back?
Had alot of fun with that one but for the life of me I cant find that book now...
------------------

Yeah. I started our D&D campaign using the 2nd ed AD&D. Then when I got hold of the old D&D cyclopedia (brand new then), I switched our campaign to classic D&D. It is simpler to use and easier to teach newbies. Less table and rules lookup. BUt it was too simple. We enjoyed it nonetheless.
Ok. I'll write it out in Classic D&D first because that's what I know by heart right now. Although I have the 3rd ed, I haven't actually played it yet and I haven't read all of the rules.
------------------

My roomie, and most of my friends are D&Ders. They really get into the whole 'dungeon crawl' things on Friday afternoons. Anywho, they all really like 3rd edition, and dislike 2nd edition. Something about percents... I dunno... Anywho, that'd be neat, Geej, I'd like to see it myself.

Ahhhhhhhh.... the sweet, sweet nectar that is
.... gaming. My Lord Geejay, I have been away, and although the armies of darkness were between me and this site I clove through and smited the evildoers!
Err.... my phone was disco and i paid it off so that I could get back on line. Love the color pages, it made a 1000% improvment.
There seems to be more of a backstory to all of this, one that you keep alluding to. Once this comic has run it's course (the Gods forbid!) perhaps you could enlighten us with another tale or two over some ales and meat and cheese?
Puck

Thanks. It takes a bit of work but hopefully the improvement helps me hook new readers who are just passing through. The downside is that the schedule has been stuck to once/week right now. There's another thread discussing this issue if you've missed it.

quote:

I'll definitely tell more about it but can't because it will ruin the suspense for the coming chapters. I'll reveal the things that probably won't be touched in the comic itself later.

------------------

I've been reading the 3rd ed D&D recently. I think I'll stick to classic D&D stats for now.

Actually, 3E is not so bad. I will always prefer 2nd Ed, becuase that is what I grew up on playing, but if there is a 3E game, count me in!
