I had the same problem with Geocities when my entry for the Apple of Enlightenment contest at Starmen.net (Earthbound rocks) won first place. I had +250 people looking at a +350 Kb file. Even though the website had NEVER had any traffic at all for the earlier part of the month, Geocities shut it down. They told me that if I wanted to, I could update to their pay service, and this wouldn't happen. The only thing I can suggest is either wait, and it'll "refresh" after a day (but if you go over the daily limit again, they'll shut it down), or you could put it up on keen, but there's a good waiting period for that. One other thing that you could do it that you could set up an account somewhere else, Angelfire or Tripod, for example, and use those for certain parts of your site, until you can figure out what to do. Like you could put the comics up on Angelfire (they're better than Geocities, but I'm too lazy to apply) and still use the Geocities account for the character page, the about page, whatever. It cuts down on the webusage on Geocities by a lot, and the second service (while still up there) wouldn't be nearly as high as the other. See what you can do. I tried to look at it yesterday, and it wouldn't let me. Spoony thing. Hope that you get this sorted out!

Do you at least have ICQ? Its found at <A HREF="http://www.icq.com" TARGET=_blank>http://www.icq.com</A> and all you have to do is install and then use the wizard to create a new account. Then I can help you more.<P>Btw my offer of hosting your comic is still valid. Especially since I get unlimited traffic.

I got them, I just don't understand them. . .I'm sorry, I'm not getting any of this. And I know why, It's cause I just don't understand the internet at all.<P>Like now Geocities says that I have to pay for my site because its "Too popular". I don't get it.......<P>Jed<P>"I'm confused..."<P>"Good Nuuva, that is an excellent place to start"<P>"what?"

You have to be kidding me! They told you to shut it down? Now thats one of the many reasons why I do NOT stick with Geocities anymore. Try out Keenspace, if you can get it ( blah. i never got my site up, and the front page is still waiting >.>) I'd recommend envy.nu, its a good place, or cjb.net. Angelfire is NOT a good place to host things, the banners get etremelly annoying. Keep on trying!

Cool congrats!<P>Ya know I could help make those templates as well. But you'd have to sketch how you want the pages to look like (i.e. basic layout) with notes on the colors and such.<P>I did something like that for the original lay out of <A HREF="http://www.smokinfairy.com" TARGET=_blank>http://www.smokinfairy.com</A> for my father.<P>So lemme know if thats a good idea.
oh and btw don't forget to drop by #elflife and easy way is to goto <A HREF="http://www.elflife.com/chat/" TARGET=_blank>www.elflife.com/chat/</A> for the java client that Carson set up but never registered. I hang out there alot due to the fact I am a player in a rpg that meets in there.
