The Kaoru that is "dead" is a prop (a very well made doll) left by Enishi to break Kenshin's heart. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/frown.gif">The weirdest thing is, Aoshi knew all about those special dolls. I know it is a happy ending..that is about all I know.
As for Aoshi, he is one of my fav characters, right up with Sano and Saitoh.I love Aoshi's kodachi.
Sano...he is just the man.
and Saitoh...well in real life he was considered the greatest swordsman in japanese history (or so I heard) so I love the character based on him.Well off to work with me

I'm sorry but shisho, spelling rrrrrr, is awesome and was the best part of the series from what i saw. with out him, well... there wouldn't have been that part. I just got the "special ending" to the manga..when all the characters meet up together...
it was cool, but sad, cause I haven't read the end of the manga yet

yeah from what i've seen of the oav's, captain tylor's suck. they totally can't be done by the same people. The only character in the oavs that seemed the same was captain tylor. Plus they destroy their ship in the oavs, and was just plain dumb.
