Oy . Speaking of the leaf shield ..
http://www.bobandgeorge.com/Archive/May01.html?6
I have to agree on the buster being the best weapon , mainly because I sucked so much I never got to see any of the other weapons . Except in the first MM .. I personally think the RUsh Pogo-Stick-Thing was kinda useless , except in Dr Wily's stage . Even then it was useless , cause if anything hit you , you'd get smacked out of the air , and they normally hit you while you were jumping a pit .. plus , it didn't do any damage when you landed on something , and that I learned the hard way .
------------------
I wish I could think of something witty .
[This message has been edited by Jammon (edited 05-08-2001).]

Worst Mega-Man weapon made?
2 Words LEAD BUBBLE
The only reason Capcom decided to use this against Wily was because no one ever used it.
Crash Bomb also ranks up there...You could only get 5 shots tops with it.
Flash Man weapon would have been alright
if only you could turn it off.
My Favorite was Icemans from MM1. It froze most enimes (Including those ANNOYING pogo-things) and let you jump over or walk under them.

Hands down, the best weapon was the Metal Gears. Ever notice how the worst weapon from each game (ex: lead bubbles, snakes) are the ONLY thing that can hurt the last bosses? I can just see those jokers at Capcom sitting at a table, laughing their asses off as they came up with that idea.

Hm . What the hell did that lead bubble thing do , anyways ? All it did was roll on the ground . It didn't even go very far in the damn air ! And , you're right , the suck-arse weapons rock against the last bosses .. and anyone , other than me , get PO'd at the boss in Wily's Fortress that WAS weak against Crash Bombs ?
------------------
I wish I could think of something witty .

You could cheat on that boss tho. If you hit pause again and again when it shoots at you, the shots will pass through you.

The Best weapon? Hmm. I'd have to say Elec-beam. 3 beams at once, and the select trick? BAM!
Worst weapon? RUSH MARINE!

I don't see why everyone is always dissing Rush. He flies, swims, and hops, constantly sacrificing his life to help the Blue Bomber give Wily the smackdown. I would have loved to used the RushMarine in some of the later stages... I can't tell you how many times I impailed myself on a submerged hanging spike. Rush, I salute you!
------------------

I've done an extensive study on all old school Mega Man weaponry (1-7, R&F, X & X3) and came up with something like this:
Favorite Weapons:
Metal Blade(MM2)-So versatile, yet consumes so little energy!
Flash Stopper(MM4)-Freezes enemies, leaving them open to a few rounds of plasma to the head
Crash Bombs(MM2)-Okay, so they take a LOT of energy...but they're really powerful (try them on Flashman!!!)
Atomic Fire(MM2)-I like fire and I love the fact that you can power this thing up!
Least Favorites:
Time Stopper(MM2)-For one thing, you can't pause while it's in effect, for another thing, you can't attack otherwise!!!
Power Stone(MM5)-Granted, it's a good weapon, but so ****** inaccurate!!!
Slash Claw(MM7)-NOT ENOUGH RANGE!!!!
Interesting(to me, at least):
Noise Crush(MM7)-The thing hits the wall, bounces back, hits you, and you can shoot a BIG one? Sounds good to me!
Magic Card(R&F)-Grabbing stuff from afar is cool! The Ring Boomerang does it, too, but only on Game Boy.
Anyways, I'm sure that'll probably start a lot of protesting/riots/mobs chasing me, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
------------------

Hmmm..
For the Classic series, I'd have to say my favorite weapon was the Atomic Fire. Not only was it chargable, but many people fail to realize that it KILLS WOOD MAN IN ONE F***ING HIT! Though Metal Blades were amusing also with their ability to kill their owner in one shot as well.
My least favorite would have to be Guts Man's Super Arm. Most of the time it was completely worthless, and it was a pain in the rear to hit with.
As for the X series, my favorite would have to be the Rising Fire from MMX4. The fully charged form of the weapon makes X do this really cool looking spinning, flaming Shoryuken that takes off a FULL 2/3 of Sigma Death's life bar! The Firefly Laser from X5 was also a neat weapon in that it was a guided missile or the MMX equivalent to the Kamehameha (I actually don't like DBZ, believe it or not) wave.
My least favorite would have to be the W-Spiral from X5, because it was such a pain to use it against either boss that was weak against it.
As for Zero, my favorite would be the F-Splasher (Can't remember the Jap name) because with the Hyper Dash part (obtained from Crescent Grizzly), it becomes a mini Nova Strike.
And my least favorite of Zero's weapons/techniques from the X series would be Sotrm Owl's Tenkuuha. It was practically useless the entire game.
[This message has been edited by Technomagus (edited 08-10-2001).]
