Kasey, um.. wow.
Very nice stuff you're putting out here! The lots o' lines art style / heavy marker reminds me of Demonology 101 meets Ancient Messages. Eek, OK, enough plugging people, I'm here to say how much I like LOLM. ^-^
First of all, let me say that I'm not a big fan of furry comics, but in your case it really didn't bother me. =) (I think it has something to do with the anthropomorphs actually being creatures and not just funny-looking humans) Ya did good! The plot is progressing quite nicely.. I liked the Race & the Trap flashback very muchly. You have a very colorful world (and it shines through even in Black & White ^-^) and I sat down and read all the archives in one sitting. Woo! Keep up with the good work & stuff. :-)
One (minor) bone to pick, though. The use of "their" and "they're" and "your" and "you're". I hope I'm not being too petty, but it drives me mad when I see these mistakes. :-)
Regardless, I can't wait to see the next page!
------------------

My gosh, i don't know what to say...well to start with i'd like to apologize for my grammar but i do not usually have anyone edit my comcis before they go up. but you are not the first to complain so I will watch in the future.
First of all, i hate most furry comics there are a few exceptions (like the Cyantian chronicles, plug for Syke) but on the whole i've seen the furry genre used SO many times it starts to hurt after awhile. Daven is in no way a furry he is actually based on a creature mentioned in Celtic mythology so I love you for mentioning this fact and the other animal people are not furries...just big talking animals.
You picked my two favorite parts! The race was supposed to be alot like the cinematic shots in a movie, using angles to portray the mood of the scenes. It was fun to design.
The flashback is actually a vital part to the future of the comic~shhhhhhh~Butterflies and tradgedy are going to be quite the motif.
I'm now off to go read the three links you gave me for I love reading new comics.
Hope I get to talk to you some more its nice to have friends and support ^_^

I didn't know if I was too harsh in my first post, when I really just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your comic! :-D
Daven's based off Celtic mythos? Very cool, I had no idea. Very cool.
When I first saw the race scene, It brought back memories of Final Fantasy VII.... so DEFINITELY cinematic. Great work. Well, I hope you like my comic at least. ;-)
OK, off to draw more of the city for Dedos ... ^__^;;
.c.
PS - Butterflies & Tragedy... *Sigh*

Wow, I just finished the Dedos archives.
Your style is amazing and the storyline is interesting because it breaks off into different adventures. I find that(correct me if i am wrong) although alot of the characters have a grim rather realistic look about them Dedos looks more cartoonish and innocent.
I liked when he visited the dragon oracle and the airship was also a neat factor in the story. also in the sketches of whats to come..whats the bear for? i'm REALLY curious
put up more comics soon!

Thanks!!!
Yeah, my storyline is more like a collection of short stories than a single drawn-out epic. I guessed that since I was not going to be updating as frequently as most comics, this would be a better way to make it accessible for people just getting into the story.
Yes, taking a page from the classics, and as mentioned in Scott McCloud's "Understanding Comics", having the main character not being ultra realistic and more 'cartoony' helps readers identify with the character, and even place a bit of him/herself there.. being part of the story. Now, whether or not I did a good job remains to be seen. ;-) Dedos is definitely an innocent. The story is a journey of truth and knowledge and experience..
The comic with the oracle & the airships was a lot of fun for me. I switched to a very high-resolution to draw those comics as I printed them up to take with me to the Comic Con in San Diego. It's funny, because I thought I'd keep that detailed style with me for a while, but when I got back from California, I was filled with other ideas.. which led me to the really BIG images and canvas sizes.
As far as the bear-creature is concerned, it's more like a dog/bear mix... I think it will make an appearance in the next (??) story. :-) It will definitely play a biggish role... Well, as big as the "bear" in this story.... =)
I put up a new page last night.. and, if everything goes as planned, I want to have one up on Wednesday, too.. but shh... I don't want to jinx it. Hahaha. If you want, you can sign up for the mailing list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dedos) to be advised of new pages (it helps because I'm not as regular as I'd like to be).
*whew* This turned out longer than I thought!
Take care, Kasey!

------------------

Yup, you got it Sammy!
Taken from the story page on my site:
"Dedos Gros is an elf, a fairy, a creature deeply connected with the Earth and the many spirits than inhabit it. Throughout his young life, he never quite fit in at home. Never as graceful as the other elves, they called him awkward, clumsy, and fat-fingered (though clumsy for an elf is still very impressive in human terms!). This last taunt he took in and made it his own, taking the name Dedos."
^_^
