Since I think it's fair to assume everyone here is familiar with adventure game in general, and fan games in perticular, I thought this might be a good place to discuss this. I can't quite phrase my thoughts coherently at the moment, but I'll try, at least a bit.
This game, if you judge by the demo, is as close to a fan adevnture game as it gets. I'm not saying it's bad or anything, but some part of it (like the animation, for instance) look like they haven't been worked on by professionals. This, however, seems to bother only a small percentage of the adventure fans, and this game is highly anticipated.
What do you think this means about the adventure gamers today? Could it be that we're willing to take everything anyone has to offer, as long as it's adventure, or is it just that we're willing to compremise some aspects in favour of others (like plot, humour, atmosphere and the like)?
And what does this all mean for fan adventures?

This reminds me of the book reports I hand in without the name of the author/book...

By the way, I'm not completely sure about this, and I have no one to ask (Mixnmojo, the forums of which I frequent, usually with annoying questions like this, is having server problems), but do any of you happen to know if there were any othre games which had this Gilbet Goodmate charachter in them? I heard something, I just can't remember...
