I'll be your friend Josh! Another male friend who isn't trying to get into my pants would be nice.
maybe your talking to the wrong girls. There are two types, the normal fun loving ones and the psycho 'oh my god my jeans don't match my black t-shirt!!!' ones. You might just be running into some of the second type.

It's unfortunate that society has brought girls up to think that every boy is out to get them, and there can't be any cross-gender friendships because they all end up with someone lusting after someone... That's not how it works, girls! Get it through your heads!
For some reason, I've never had a problem with making friends with guys and not suspecting alterior motives. That might be partially my optimism in that I give everyone a chance to prove themselves as good people, and partially my pessimism in that I thought for the longest time I wasn't desirable to anyone anyway. In any case, girls who can't handle friendships with guys are really missing out, because dammit, my guy friends have always been more fun than my girl friends!
------------------
Look. I said something witty. ...Oh wait. No I didn't.

"I just want to be your fucking friend"??
You give yourself away, Josh! Just get a lousy girlfriend and talk to her and her pals if you must converse with the opposite sex.
I've been 'just friends', and it never works out. Though i must admit, it made a nice change from looking at my friend's ugly faces the whole time!
------------------

I have a lot of guy friends, too. It's a good thing there's never been a problem with being "just friends" ever. Anyways, I think you people are all hung up on this thing. Big deal. Here's the real story, found out by most guys and reinforced by most girls and clarified by Blink 182, for in their words, "Girls are such a drag!" They're right, you know. No offense to any people of that gender, but Blink made a very good point. Know what girls are? Confusing, thats what. They tease guys, all the time. Even if a guy's just minding his own business, they come up to him and flaunt their...everything in his face and then try to make out with the poor guy... and then whats natural none other than the guy thinks she likes him, but no... she was just flirting, it meant nothing. And then she goes off with someone else without ever talking to him again... girls are such a drag. If any girls here reading this actually read this and have a rebuttal to this then rebut!! Try and tell me that girls are not a drag. Try and tell me that Blink was wrong. Can't do it, can ya? There's the challenge, try it out!! OK, at that, I'm out.. WRITE!!!!
Ciao.

Thank you, Thank you..... Now here I'm gunna go assuming you're a girl...and if so, why would you agree with my saying that girls are confusing teasing flirts? Why aren't you rebuttling?
And yeah, Josh is right. But then, isn't is so that most if not all famous people like them have girlfriends (or boyfriends, depending on preference, whatever), so they are just making those songs to sing based on how they will sound to a person of oh say ur and my statures... where we don't have girlfriends... as of yet, anyway.. and so why does Blink 182 sell so many copies of their CDs? Because people like us can relate to not having girlfriends. Blink knows its true, so they must have been in our shoes at one point or another, and the know from past experience; "girls are such a drag"

Yes I am a girl but I don't see anything to rebuttal. I agree with the girls are psycho because well I've been one my whole 17 years of exsistence and have seen the pain females put the male gender though. It's sick! I remember hanging out with this one girl for a weekend and she just played mind games with two really sweet guys the entire time we hung out. She did the whole "oh I like you i'm just not sure if I'm ready for a boyfriend" then she sat on his lap and started making out with him. She never dated either of them. Then as the weekend went on she attempted to make me her damn clone so I haven't hung out with her since.
