*grynn* Very likely, even, that that is what Jaq is out to get. And her logics are likely based on the (incorrect) assumption all men care about what is 'manly' and that 'manly' clashes with gay. Most of the other storylines mentioned are happening, at least the ones of more serious nature. And Kit's Karaoke Machine, since I need that one to introduce someone that's going to be in Fenni's Quest. *giggle* This storyline is stretching, likely going to turn out to last a year or more.That joke is classic. But, yes, unfair. (Put it down, 'Scii, I'm not going to say anything!) Shadowrose isn't half as false as most Assassins.I have no doubts that Viron has been asking Erinzo about everything between heaven and hell, nevermind the fact 'Rinzo is likely to have been very uneager to answer anything at all.And I'd tend to agree that things that bear rereading are better than those that are not. A lot better.------------------

I didn't say it fools anyone anymore, except, ironically, their honoured father. He thinks Rel has done such a good job in the past, so he puts Rel on the job again. Like a true friend, Erinzo is likely to value 'Rose's well-being over his strangely-motivated wishes. You are not a friend until you can tell your friend off, or something like that, I think someone said.Cardboard characters ceased to amuse me long ago, and that was the reason of the death of many a story of mine. Including the one where 'Thrainem is still Anya Ironhand, or the one before that, about Anya's mother. Whom, interestingly enough, Sah's and Shadow's father slain. Anya never knew that, though.

Between the teaser and the Halloween special and the occasional but well-deserved Freefall-like leisureliness of the storytelling (just how well-deserved becomes clear as I reread and see all the telling detail that the slower pace allowed and which I'd missed that first time through; but that's getting off-track...) - it might just be a while before Nequii gets to say what he has to say, and we learn (if we do learn! *g*) if that pendant 'round his neck mightn't be an amber pendant serving for the nonce as the body of a werewolf shaman of our recent acquaintance?... (?!?.)

The likelihood of Rel growing a character is, in fact, pretty good. Achira, on the other paw, now her... Owch. Not a chance.Hmm... It's pretty hard to convince a homicidal semi-workaholic to take some time off and just rest, isn't it? We'll see if Zvee and 'Rinzo can give him other things to keep his mind on, hmm?Nice plots, yes, but the way I worked them was nothing short of awful. I like a few passages, still, but most of it is crappy. But it's failures that we learn from, so...*snicker* There was supposed to be two more strips before the Halloween special, but I stuck the teaser in between, and didn't see that I'd meant to have double strips last Sunday. But the story continues tomorrow, and Friday. Yes, Friday. Got to catch up with the dates I scribbled in the margins of the sketchbook, or I'll get VERY confused.

(Some also say that one can learn much not only from one's failures, but one's successes, as well, and my still-on-vacation memory is refusing to divulge to me just who it is I'm paraphrasing who said that their career after a certain point consisted in constant learning from themselves... sigh. Well, if you read LaL before CW decided to become a payservice, there were clues... And I won't say more'n that. ^_^Would probably be pretty tactless, yes. (Oooh, Weeendy? You got a minute?) You'll see... Tomorrow, I think. But, yes, just because he -used- to be on his own even among "friends" doesn't mean he has to constantly care for himself when he has real friends around. The catch is getting him to realize that. "If I can move, I move" isn't going to help him heal, at all.
The plot long since went feral, and is happy to inform us all that it'll rear its ugly head wherever it sees unfit. *snicker*Provided you learn Swedish first, I'll gladly let you have a look at the one about Anya. At the moment, my knowledge of Swedish is mostly limited to my guessing between the words of sentences of P2 schedules, and that sort of thing. (Speaking of which, I had best not forget that a piece I do very much love is on tonight (well, afternoon my time) as the last work before the midnight (6pm-ditto) cut-to-overnight-programming... ! ) Not averse to trying to learn, on the other hand. My reaction to this when I first read it was to bounce up and down in my chair squealing "Elephants". 'Course, that was partially to confuse a certain brother of mine. And my clues are generally quite hard to pick up. Yes- well, I am obsessed with classical music, one; P2 does stream (broadcasts over the web via realplayer), two; of the various classical and/or mostly-classical stations that do stream they're among the best imhonesto, three... and according to their online schedule, as I said, one of my very favorite pieces of music was on, in a broadcast of a 1998 live concert, at (my) 5:25 pm, last night. I already have it on recording (different performance of course, much older) but it was a true joy to hear it again, played a bit differently (but equally with feeling), to a live audience. I've got a teacher who renamed a mathematical rule-thing the nougat rule. Bothers the hell out of a few of my classmates. I don't mind, though. Hmm... Wonder how develephants and paragiraffes look... I like giraffes. ^_^I think it was server-side, but it may be that I'd gotten the ftp address wrong, they changed it without telling me, it seems.*nods* Ought to make sense of a few things. I have a story in the works called 'Wiltering Rose' that should go up on LaL whenever I get around to finishing it. It's VERY disturbing.And yes, they should write themselves. It just gets annoying when you've got everything plotted out and they constantly sidestep the plot.*g* Oh, 'tis quite okay, I see where you're coming from. Which reminds me I should revise and compose my various lists of CDs I want. And add my latest discovery to it.All of it happened a few years ago, mum chewed him out last time he messed with my computer. Stupid jokes he and his friends come up with...*grynn* I misread that the first time you said it, missed the 'as' in 'growing as a character'. 'Growing a character' made sense to me, there's a similar expression in Swedish, sorta like 'developing a conscience', but, well, with a touch of 'maturing' to it. Hard to explain.But stories are meant to be character-driven, which is why I'm redoing the first storyline, and why this one grew so long.There was supposed to be a Friday comic (and likewise, there is a Saturday one coming, if late...), but business I could impossibly have planned for, involving but not limited to an extra round to town to pick up my new headset and my dad cutting himself when helping preparing dinner, so he had to be sent to the hospital. Likely to be extra strips Monday and Wednesday, instead, but I won't promise something I can't keep.After second semester starts, schedule is likely to be I upload as many strips as I can Saturday and Sunday, letting them run daily Sunday and forward until I run out, rinse, repeat. ^_^'Cause I have too many too hard classes then, especially counting the fact I haven't had Physics before.

I bought a book once, whose stated purpose was to introduce phrases into the English language for which there was no sufficiently exact equivalent - not for novelty or amusement or "sounds nice at parties" value, but because thinking-shape shapes thinking-content ... the terms and phrases one is drawn to have some influence on (the author hoped expanding, not contracting, influence) what one is inclined to think. Not sure I'm conveying this clearly here... just a train of thought set on my poorly-maintained, hazardous-to-trains tracks by your mention of that "growing a character" expression for which I don't think English has exactly an equivalent but which I do think is thoughtworthy. I don't regard myself, typically, as easily disturbed. On the other hoof, I'm sometimes a good deal surprised by how much it takes to disturb me, what disturbs me, and why. But on consideration...
Sure.-Eric Schissel (who on that other subject of trying to learn a sufficient amount of Swedish - remembering your earlier comment to that effect - notes that if anything his number of jobs may soon (yay? actually, considering the details rather than just the fact itself, yay!) be increasing, but is still seriously considering it...)

Well, if it makes you feel better, I only realized it was a pun -after- I wrote it. *snicker* A very nice pun, at that.The topic's there, although the text is a bit sparse at the moment, I was using my computer class for replying to posts and such, since I'd forgotten the papers I was supposed to bring. Going in to edit it and add after six. It's more expensive to be online before six, I'm just kinda checking in... Naughty Alex...*nods* I'm going to record a sound file for an English guy learning Swedish, find something to read to him or something, mostly to hear the flow of the language. Just tell me if you want it, too.
