Well, I had my Keen*-board start in the CRFH forum, and though I like to think I've abjured (is that the mot juste?...) the seeking-of-long-threads and the like long since , my first "effort" was adding post after post to the "Name the Zombie Cat" thread -- long after Chester had a name, and just so the thread would stay near the top of the list.
That was sometime around June 2000, I think... not sure.

quote:

*snicker* If I go to Cali or not (or, rather, if I go 2002 or '03) depends solely on whether 'tis me and my allied or my parents that are more stubborn. Just because I never went anywhere alone -before- doesn't mean I wouldn't make it. I seem to know as much English as some Americans.

Yes, you do. (Edit, several hours later, *facepalm*-ing: this was not meant with a second meaning, or as damning with faint praise, or as anything other than to be taken at face value. I don't, typically, do sarcasm, fwiw, and it now occurs to me that there is a chance, though not a great one, that this might have been taken otherwise than as I meant it, and I should like to guard against that...)

*giggle* The salamander has its sources. Namely, the other salamanders. Wherever there's fire, a salamander or five sees. If one elemental knows, all know. More or less. They're a pretty gossipy sort.
And Nequii knows about Irooz's body already. Look at the strip of her first appearance.

Well, I recently re-saw (and finally understood) that Nequii had spoken with Irooz and called her by name, and that comic mentions the circumstances of the death of her first body; with you so far... ah, I see, (relocating the July 21 comic) Nequii holding the amber body while talking to Irooz... right.
Hrm... I would have thought the elemental effect was generated during the fight (the dark unicorn blood corrosion) but the salamanders didn't know about same? Or my thoughts are barking up wrong tree... odd.

quote:

*grynn* Bottles everywhere. Was 'Rose's fault she hit the shelf. He shouldn't do that to her, no he shouldn't.

This is... dramatic. I'm sympathetic, but bad things might well happen (unless random chance intervenes.)
A lesson if one's going to keep all sorts of dangerous items in one's room is not to panic when there unless either alone and willing to take the personal damage, or sociopathic (is that the word I want again?...) - of course, Shadow does on the other hand have good reasons for having such items in his room, perhaps there might be a better way to keep them until such time as he needs them...
(Of course, telling oneself not to panic is said to be a bit like being told not to think of pink elephants. Supposedly (according to a webpage I saw once) this latter was once the fee of admission to a society of friends, however, so perhaps the expression needs revising...)
