When I went through the JF archives, I had this huge fear that the strip was going to be really gimmicky (by which I mean, it would take one little tiny aspect of the strip (namely, the fact that the fridge talks) and beat said aspect into the ground by telling virtually the same joke over and over and OVER again). Fortunately, you have yet to do that with JF. Please keep it up. The last thing the Internet needs is another cheeseball comic strip that can't go five seconds without telling the same joke.
------------------

Heya Caph,
Glad to have surprised you... As one who has seen far, far into the future of Jackie's Fridge (well, a few months, anyway), I can honestly tell you not to worry. BJ rarely, if ever, reuses a gag, and the Fridge maintains it's place as furniture 90% of the time. The 10% of the time that is DOES play a part in the strip, there's a reason for it - other than to just have a talking refrigerator.
So, hopefully, you'll keep reading, and keep being pleasantly surprised. As one who's in the know, I can tell you there's a LOT of good stuff ahead - I'd hate for you to miss it.

Hey Capheine!
I was actually worried about that when I started Jackie's Fridge--not that I'd slip into a rut, but that people would dismiss it as a one-trick pony.
To me, the Fridge isn't a gimmick, it's one of the characters (just not as mobile). I like to think of it as Jackie's unwanted roommate. Jackie is such a bland character (no offense to her) that she needs the Fridge to balance her out. Between the two of them, they make a pretty cool character.
--BJ
------------------
