Last night on Comedy Central there was a comedian that said he looked like a FAT JESUS...
I don't remember his name because I only saw him for a minute and I was tired.

SUPER DAVE KELLY IS HERE AND WILL PERFORM STUNTS WITH HIS ASIAN FRIEND!Anyway, A month or so after I debuted FJ (I believe that was well before I had a Keenspace) on Conan, some comedian was on, and HE said that (probably the same guy.. was he sitting at a piano at the time?) and needless to say, I freaked out seven ways from sunday.I believe my ISP got carpet burns from the amount and velocity of emails I sent to Bob Scott saying nothing but 'AAAA!' and 'DID YOU HEAR THAT?!'.Of course, when I realized I came up with a concept that was about as original as 'Gay Nazis' I calmed down a teense.Mike "I made an art project called 'Virtual Stupidity', and some time later, Bevis and Butthead had a game called the same thing." I saw the same thing. His name was Zack Kakarakas or something like that. I know the first name was Zack, and the last name was all long. I dunno. He was very...mediocre. He told the Same Old Jokes ("I'd like to go to India or Pakistan, and then get a job as a cab driver!" was one that I remember...), but he told them in an intriguing way. First at the piano, he played for 20 minutes or so, doing Steven Wright style one-liners, like the India/Pakistan Cab thing. And then for the closer, he claimed that all of his ex-girlfriends formed a 12 piece a capella group, and then had them do a song, while he tore off a bunch of sheets with jokes written on them (one was "I knew we were in trouble when I was talking to my ex-girlfriend on the phone, and she said 'I need to take this, it's a telemarketer.'" Another one had the Fat Jesus thing. I don't recall what it was because I wasn't looking at the screen, but the punchline was "NOT 'PHAT Jesus'." And it made me think of this strip. And I said, hey, Leffel should sue the ass off that guy. Then it reminded me of Bloom County. And I said, hey, Breathed should sue the ass of me. And that was when I decided to become an alcoholic.------------------

Dat ain't nuthin! I made a joke about having written a sequel to the bible on the Superosity message board, then two or three days later, I saw a commercial for David Letterman in which George Carlin said he was writing a sequel to the Bible! Hoy! I darn-tootin' near up and died!

Alcoholics are the only intersting people.Much like my neighbors, who routinely get into fights, throw all their bottles on the sidewalk and street, vomit here and there, and have their loud music on until the cops come by.So very fascinating. Can't.. keep.. brain.. functions.. going.. without seeing them.. just one more time... must.. see.. drunks...........

Well, the thing is, and I think I speak for pretty much all of TODCRA here, if not merely most of it... but the thing is that drunks themselves aren't cool, but it's alcoholic culture. Stuff like the Pogues/Shane MacGowan, Tom Waits, Maakies... the whole "Hello! I drink to forget and slowly kill myself! I enjoy pain stoppin'! Dook Dook Dook!". Hell, one of the members of TODCRA (none of us drink, best of my knowledge, and pretty much all of us are dead set against it, more or less (course, we've also got the whole, 'meh, if you wanna drink, knock yerself out. Just don't get in my face about it.' sorta deal going on)) has one of the Maakies t-shirts, the one with Uncle Gabby saying "Being Drunk is the Best Feeling in My Poor World" while holding a pistol. The joke we constantly make is that it's TRUE, which is SAD cause we DON'T DRINK. but, uh, yeah. Anyway, in seriousness, there's probably gonna be a TODCRA drinking album in the near future. It needs to be written. And it might actually have a bunch of guest musicians on it. Haven't decided yet.And if mp3.com'd allow covers, we'd probably cover "Yeah yeah yeah yeah (long version)" byt he Pogues and almost certainly "Drunk by Noon" from the Handsome Family.Jesus. If you get anything out of this post: LISTEN TO THAT SONG. Preferably the version on the Radio K: Stuck on 3AM compilation (it's much better than the album version -- the album version is too cluttered, while the live version from the Radio K comp is just right.). It's really available on Audiogalaxy. So, uh, yeah. Check it out. It's one of the best things you can do. Especially if you too dig alcoholic culture. Even though it's not as much into the Alcoholism thing. Just mostly. Yeah.------------------
