I actually gave you all that exists.... there's a few outtakes floating around, but I haven't picked them up yet, and that actually might be all of them, I don't know, cookdandbombd.co.uk shut down for a while not too long ago, so, uh yeah. Hopefully they'll be back up.
For the time being, though, there is a CD of Blue Jam out in the UK. I've got it on order, and when it comes in, I'll post about how it is. I've also got a bunch of the episodes of Blue Jam in mp3, too. I've yet to see any full length eps of Jam (where the fuckingnoddy clip is from -- and as far as I know and from what I read, it's _supposed_ to look like that), and same goes from The Day Today (which I've heard that the Daily Show is based off of -- even though they usually give "based from" credits, the Daily Show has none for Chris Morris/Day Today, so...).
On audiogalaxy, there's a bunch of stuff from him, including stuff from the Blue Jam CD, full episodes, clips from various other shows, and a flexidisk he did (with a dead on Pixies parody -- if you're into them, check out 'Motherbanger'. It's _awesome_). Just search for either Chris Morris, or www.cookdandbombd.co.uk (most of them have that in the tag).
And then, again, Gnutella's your... acquaintence from down the road, when it comes to stuff like this, heh.
And, also, once it airs fully, I'll release the TODCRA Productions Radio Show that's _heavily_ influenced by Chris Morris.
Anyway, dude, glad you liked it. I discovered him this summer over the Brasseye scandal, and...damn. I've latched onto him like a mad dog defending his children.
chris Morris is GENIUS.
------------------

You mean 'all that exist' in DOWNLOADABLE format, or 'produced entirely'? Because I refuse to believe that was all the shows they ever made.
And I have encountered the kind of show I always wanted to make. MANDINGO it is cool.
And here, all along, I thought it was some kind of 'gross out' show, or real news show that I just wouldn'tve cared for and ignored all links for it.
Stupid, silly old man.
BACK TO THE KITCHENS FOR ME!
------------------

Produced entirely, unfortunately. It's a british show, and they seem to only want to make a handful of eps at a time, so.. I don't know. Hopefully there'll be more later...
------------------

Heh, and for the record, I don't really care for gross out type shows either (i.e. Tom Green or whatnot)... sometimes, if they're done well, and the grossness _isn't_ the point of the show, then it can work. But not always. Yeah.
------------------

RE: Jimbob's comment about the other show -- I haena seen any of that.. is it radio or TV? I've got a couple of mp3s with that name in there, so, uh, yeah. I'm assuming it's Chris Morris, just a character of his, rather than someone who is all "DOOD! CHRIS MORRIS ROCKS!! I WANNA BE LIKE HIM!" (not that there's anything _wrong_ with that...).
RE: Leffel/UCB -- I'd go along with that. And I've seen a picture of Chris Morris in Normal Everyday Look, and he looks like one of the UCB guys. It's been a while, but I'm gonna say Adair. The one who was turned into a sandwich. I think that was Adair, but as I said, Comedy Central hasn't shown that in, like, forever.
So, perhaps they really ARE trying to control the world and make everything all.... uh, well, Discordian-only-good. So, there you go.
------------------

Actually, the Brass Eye hit can be obtained in a reduced dosage via the newly-aired Armando Iannuci Shows. They're a lot quieter and more subtle (and occasionally quite moving), but they bear traces of Morrisian humour. I like it better than a lot of Morris's output.
However, in America I sure am not but think I that get them can you not yet, if ever.
------------------

I have an audio tape of "On The Hour", the original radio-show spoof. It's the official tape (with all the Lee and Herring stuff cut out), but it's still a couple of hours of Chris Morris-y goodness. If this isn't available elsewhere, I'd be happy to MP3 it for you guys.
------------------

That'd be neato-torpedo! I've yet to see anything from that from Audiogalaxy (unless it's mislabelled or something...), so, uh, yeah, I'd definately be down with that if you wanted to burn time for Furthering The Cause.

quote:
Originally posted by *Kludge*:

Hmm.. I see. It kinda sucks being based in America, because you don't get to find out about these sortsa things. Like, we're only a handful of people who have heard of Chris Morris here, and I only heard of him because of the coverage over the Brass Eye Special (Yeah, I know, I'm lame..).
I'd be kinda interested in seeing some of that stuff, actually... And, I didn't mean to imply that it was a bad thing to be a "turgid Chris Morris fanboy" (Hi!). So, uh, yeah.

quote:
Originally posted by JimRob:

TV. Very new on Channel 4. Armando Iannuci is not a Morris creation but an actual, real person. And he's definitely not some turgid Morris fanboy: he has a quite different sense of humour - much gentler but often more incisive - which nevertheless occasionally verges on Morrisisms (bizarre insults, surrealism, etc.) As far as I know he's been in the odd-comedy business for longer than Morris has; he's produced innumerable shows, including the political satire show The Friday/Saturday Night Armistice, and has only now stepped into the spotlight as frontman.
And I'm his Public Relations Assistant.

He's a brilliant producer, and his style is quite good, but in terms of writing and performing the comedy he's not really a patch on Morris himself. If I had to choose one of them to die in a bizarre lizard-crushing accident, it would be Iannucci.
The reason the tape I have isn't the complete OTH is because Armando didn't want Lee and Herring to get any money for the bits they wrote, so he deliberately cut all their bits for the tape in a fit of pique - so it's alleged by Lee and Herring. However, it may be sour grapes, since at least Richard Herring is known to have some unsavoury characteristics: Sally Phillips, the most gorgeous comedienne of the "Smack The Pony" trio, used to go out with him. You'd think with such a smart and beautiful girlfriend he'd try to hang onto her, but she dumped him on the grounds that all he wanted to do was leverage his fame to have sex with teenage girls. She later went on to write and perform a piece entitled "Richard Herring Is Fat" at the Edinburgh festival.
I swear to god, I'm not making this up.
I will start MP3-ing the audio tapes tomorrow. Expect to start seeing them sometime towards the end of the week.

------------------

OK, I have the MP3 files: 4 of them weighing in at around 18Mb each.
I'm not overkeen on making them terribly publicly available, so I'll probably put them in a password-protected area of my site. Mail me (keith@kludgeco.com) if you want the password, and promise not to pass it on.
Perhaps (as I guess Mike won't want to download 80Mb), one of you Americans could stick the files onto a CD for him, as this seems to be a successful way to get him files.

------------------

That sounds comparatively mild. Although I haven't actually heard it. (And he was, anyway.)
Stewart Lee earned my everlasting respect for his stand-up routine on Princess Diana at the Canadian comedy festival a few years back, where he spent five whole minutes narrating a serious and rather saddening evocation of how people felt on learning of her death, then popping it like a balloon by pondering exactly why someone had left an inflatable plastic ET as a tribute. (Anyone remember that?) And, if I'm not mistaken, he writes reviews of post-rock albums for the Sunday Times.
And that Peter Baynham, eh?
------------------
