Ok, so we have:
Jackie - I like her. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. The Will/Jackie/Shanna love triangle should be pretty interesting to watch.
Stu - For some reason, Stu reminds me of Mike from 'It's Walky!' I hope he has the same personality. A redneck's a great addition, but a redneck asshole? Even better! And as a bonus, we'll probably be seeing more of Guthrie now that his 'beloved' cousin is in town.
Grandpa - He should be interesting. He strikes me as the tough-as-nails-war-veteran type. Where was he when they infiltrated the F.I.B?
The Fat Fanboy - Every Science Fiction club needs an obsessive fanboy! I'm sure he means well...

That's not a Grandpa, that's "Arlen Staranka" in disguise. He's going to apply to be the new Master at Arms for the club.
~f

Hello, who is that in the back row next to Tim in the latest comic (where Rikk is calling the meeting to order)? Tall, blonde, and black-jacketed? I want to see more of that one! Hope he's not just filler... he's not one of the titular thirteen talking, but maybe pointing that out ("Triskaidekalogue") as much emphasizes the two who aren't as the (previously-met) thirteen who are? The other one, over by Kath, looks oddly familiar to me, but I just can't place him at all, so maybe it's false recognition.
But back to Jacket Boy... speculating wildly, maybe he could be a Rikk-replacement for Rumy? He looks like he could pass for sensitive and beautiful, which seems to be what Rumy is looking for...

The guy beside Kath is Graveyard Greg, the protagonist from a webcomic I think is called RPG Guardians, but I'm not sure (I've read a couple of its comics).
I think black-jacket boy is me actually. T. Campbell did promise that I would make an appearance this week, and it looks kinda like me. Let's see, he's tall, thin, long black coat (wool coat, not jacket, but it's hard to tell). My hair's brown-blond actually, but close enough. Yeah, that could pass for me (but what the Hell am I doing beside Tim then? Go away! Go away!).
Which probably deep-sixes any attempt to have coat-boy become a continuing character, boyfriend to Rumy (but hey, if T. Campbell wants to do it, he has my good-will, I've always wanted to date Rumy). Sorry.
Actually, me dating Rumy has a certain logic to it. I have commented that I'm an amalgamation of Rikk, Rumy, and Will, and Rumy and me are both comic-freaks (hey, I'm the reviewer for Webcomic World after all) who want to break into the comic industry and are terminally shy. And I've also been attracted to women who kick ass.
Gee... sensitive and beautiful. I'll have to remember that one.

Hmmm....
I'm curious, is Kath quoting something? Anyone know?
I think the bald guy near Kath is actually one of Guth's friends from the computer dept.
I don't think so but could the girl in the front be Meighan? Maybe with a new do?
Hmm...the pretty boy..... I think he may just be a replacement boy for Rumy, though I don't think it'll be good. I think that he may be a good guy and romantic but there's either a hidden darkness to him (the eyes) or he's a pansy that won't agree with any of the adventuring or the panty shot-jump kicks.
Or: He may be a good match but he won't be noticed by Rumy because she's so distracted by Rikk. This little interaction would make for a good Valentine's story.

I think that we could actually expect a rolecall this week. or at least a little introduction. We know we're gonna learn about Stu later because Guth told us so.
As always, expectations are high.
------------------

As far as the two guys in the back row are concerned, one of them seems to be wearing something odd on his head, which we may find out more about. I doubt that T would actually plant anyone in the club to simply serve as "filler" though.

I do hope I get a little more sceen-time than just that one cameo. Heck, all the other guest-stars at least got speaking roles.
Heh. The nice thing about me appearing in the club is that I can easily stay out of the other characters way.
Unless some fanboy or quirky conversation sucks me in and causes me to develop a friendship with one of the fans, I'd just show up at the movies and some of the meetings, and lurks around, keeping to myself (but next time I wouldn't sit next to Tim, probably at the front row so I can stretch out my legs).
[This message has been edited by Bevan (edited 11-20-2001).]

Heh.
The various postulations about a relationship starting between me and Rumy actually inspired me to write a short fan-fic about just that nature.
I'm hesistant about posting it, as it is a "Mary Sue" fan-fic (is that the right term?) of the worst sort, featuring the writer as a character and laying the framework for a close relationship with the character he has a crush on. Oh, and it's sappy and highly melodramatic.
If enough people want to see it, I'll post it, but I felt I should get the general populace's approval before forcing it upon them.

Bevan's correct about both himself and Graveyard Greg. By the end of the week, we'll know everyone in the room, at least superficially...

Rikk: "and you are?"
Bevan: "Hi i'm YOU'RE ALL COMIC CHARACTERS! WEB COMIC CHARACTERS! YOUR TRUE REALITY IS A LIE, A WHIM OF T.CAMPELL, AND JASON WALTRIP!
Will gets up, and advances.
Will: Not again.
Bevan: "RUMY LOVES RIKK! SHANNA LOVES WILL!."
Bevan erases from existence.
Rikk:"...ok, Tim?"

Oh gee thanks. I hope I go out a little more gracefully than that. Heck, I know it's the height of bad manners to metafiction without the characters' consent.

Well, I'm pretty sure that Graveyard Greg is filler, just the nod of the head to another fanboy webcomic. And if that is indeed my promised appearance, then I'm probably filler too (though I'd be perfectly fine with becoming a continuing character).
All others have been given intros, so I assume that they will have roles to play.
You know, I did ask for a webcomic/rpg fanatic, and I would fill the role quite nicely.... (After all, I have written in both their fields and am pursuing various projects about them, as well as following them with fanboyish obsession).

I'd like to see some of that, that is if I get to *see* some of that, if you catch my drift.
Eh? Eh? Wink wink, nudge nudge, knowwhutahmean, knowhwhatahmean, saynomore? A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat!

Preliminary, Final, doodles etc.

i wonder if i could find a coldcast model close enough to mod to a Rumi.
That would be cool though i'm not much good on detail work.
