Hello Cave readers,
If you just came here from the website, then you know about the contest. If you're a forum-hopper, then please visit the Fletcher's Cave page, take a gander at the salty fellow, and think up a name...
If you want to see all the strips featuring this guy, then go to the archive and read the November 28, December 19, and December 22 strips. (If you're reading this on the 21st, then you gotta wait for that last one...)
I look forward to seeing your responses! Many, many responses...dear God, can't you see how DESPERATE I am? Give me a name!
With a whole lotta love,

------------------

Just caught an entry on the ecartoonist list, and I'll throw it into the pot here to make it look fuller: Morton (a guess by someone at woofaboomus@hotmail.com). Another good selection to add to the batch you folks have already thrown in here.
I must admit--I'm not sure yet if there's a frontrunner. Maybe I'll set up a poll when more entries come in, pick my favorite five or ten, and then let my fans--my thousand upon thousands of fans; the thousands who, like Nixon's "silent majority," are out there, but are too busy living their lives to enter a contest--I'll let them decide.
And, I have to admit, Maritza--the whole Lot thing didn't even OCCUR to me with regard to Salty. Man, do I have a lot to learn about the link between religion and sodium...
Later!
------------------

Here is an entry someone sent to my e-mail. I think the third one is quite clever:
Since sodium chloride is the chemical combination for salt how about "Sochlo ridium"
yeah you're right that sucks (Excuse the vampire pun)
My second (and third) suggestion(s) is(are) "Nosforsalto" or "Noshforsalto" both based on Nosforato. Please excuse the spelling.

It almost looks like SJ has done this sort of thing before, which begs the question--
How much free time is there in a day at SJ's house?
And, perhaps more important...Is the house clean?
Well, that increases the name count by 400-1000% (I didn't count, I'm just guessing). And with numbers comes recognition, money, fame, power, and a spot on Oprah--A SPOT ON OPRAH??
Ewwww....
Later, all! Thanks for kicking in, keep 'em coming...
------------------

Gawrsh, folks, it's been a while since anyone's posted but ME! Anyone else out there who wants to throw in their $.02 worth on the Salty Guy's name? The contest will be ending soon--around the end of the month--and there's still plenty of room for creative answers!
So...I'm waiting...

------------------
