Getting ready to read "Shutter Island", but I've already seen the movie. Do you read books after you've seen the film?McDuffies wrote:Penn State? I only know of famous Pen Island.

LibertyCabbage wrote:I don't think being underqualified's as big a deal as you're making it out to be. Companies get a ton of applications from underqualified people. The ones that are actually laughable are the ones with stupid-ass resumés. Like:
-- Resumés that are 10 pages long and have the applicant's entire life story. ("When I was 4, I joined a T-ball league.")
-- Resumés where the applicant misspells his or her own name
-- Resumés where the applicant lists references but doesn't give any contact information for them
-- Resumés where the applicant lists stupid crap, like, "I like to play video games."
That's what you're up against here. So, as long as you're not a total derp, which you're obviously not, the worst that's gonna happen is your application gets dumped in the trash with the applications from all the other recent college grads who can't find work either. And while self-confidence 'n' all that might be a factor in a job interview, I'd consider even getting that far to already be a success.
