Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?
Managed to get a bit of drawing done on my little Bamboo while away for a few days. Not as much as I would have liked, I haven't used it much in a while so it took some time to get the feel for it back.

Just picked up one of those this weekend -- I love it, but is there some way to disable the button on the stylus? It's a bit distracting to be drawing something and then suddenly finding that you've accidentally zoomed in 2343%.IVstudios wrote:Managed to get a bit of drawing done on my little Bamboo while away for a few days. If you're using a Mac just go into your System Preferences and open the tablet up. You can change what the buttons do there (I'm pretty sure you can disable them, but I've never tried so I'm not sure.)
I don't know where the setting are located if you're using a PC, but I'd imaging they're in the Controle Panel somewhere.

Its in the program folder in the Wacom start menu, in preferences. As well it's in the control panel, but I don't know exactly as that's not the route I think I've ever taken
Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?
Gonna get me some o' that action, there's a wacom all nicely wrapped up waiting to be opened that I know my missus got me as a birthday pressie. I've been using a cheap trust branded budget 6x4 jobbie for the last few years, and am greatly looking forward to the upgrade.

The more digital work I put into my pages, the better they (in my opinion) tend to look; unfortunately I hate staring so intensely at the screen for extended periods of time
it's fine if I"m just reading shit online or whatever, but I'm focusing so hard and I need the backlight bright so I don't make weird mistakes.
I guess it's time for a break perhaps.

Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?
Like Cuddly, I've noticed a drastic improvement in my artwork since I've gone all digital, but I've also felt the need to go all-colour which has added to my work a bit more than I originally thought it would (first timer, what can I say), but I'm nowhere near ready to give up that aspect as time allows.
The good news is that after putting doing some final modifications on older comic formats, it may actually be ready for 'official launch' (pitching and review) this weekend.

Man, I am on FIRE since getting that Bamboo. I've spent so much time drawing that I actually have hand-cramp.
Heck, I'm even considering doing requests, once my current workload is finished.

Still getting caught up with missed updates. I hopefully plan to have it all done this weekend after drinking hard Friday.

Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?
I'm on schedule. I'm happy with my results so far. I just added a notes section so I can make comments and a facebook comment box. At this point I think I have all the design elements I'm probably ever going to have (although I may get a project wonderful ad once I hit the big 30) so I'm thinking about redesigning the site and putting a little effort into it this time. Put a nav bar across the top, that sorta thing. Looking forward to the day when my pog, newsbox, and large banner images are approved.

I've managed to start updating Quantum cadet again and when I said I would. It's full of all the childish profanity and cheese cake nudity everybody loves. Still as many spelling errors as ever.

Excellent, and well deserved! And don't worry, none of us have any intentions at all of cutting open your skull with an oversized spatula and eating your brain in the vague hopes of absorbing your talents for our own personal gains. None at all.Komiyan wrote:Pretty happy right now!

Wonder if Jezebel will do a story on my comic if I tweet some rape jokes. </badidea>
