I have the very beginning of Doctor Who on DVD. Not the Ninth Doctor beginning, the FIRST Doctor beginning!! Yes, William Hartnell and the first three serials: An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, and The Edge of Destruction.

And it was only $20.

I came in to work today, which will be relaxing considering what my weekend consisted of. Yay, office job!

And it was only $20.

Speaking of old cheap DVDs, the old Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats show is being continued on DVD (it was discontinued by Shout Factory after only a partial release), courtesy of Mill Creek Entertainment. It's literally the cheapest DVD Packaging I've ever seen (plastic DVD envelope sleeves inside a box?), but as my favourite childhood show I'm very happy the rest of it is being released.

Managed to organize the garage a bit more. Now you can walk in it and to the van w/o bumping into something.

I also am descovering the joys of coffee. Only have it at work ATM and not that much of it is actually coffee, I have a half spoon on coffee, half water, half milk with 2 sweeteners. It seems to cure/prevent headaches.

I'm playing a Monkey Island I haven't played before for the first time in ages (or any puzzle adventure thingume for that matter) which I'm happy about. I was raised on that type of game so for me it's my natural state of being. They don't make enough of them any more. If I were involved in game making in some influential position I would bring about a revival. But alas.

Also going on holiday for a week soon to the lovely Colwyn Bay. That'll be nice.

I'm running a fair bit too lately. My wife's doing a half marathon on Sunday and is planning to run a marathon in october so I'm getting caught up. It's doing me good. When I'm trying to get fit I like to disguise my progression onto harder tasks as "leveling up", it makes me enjoy it more. Currently Level 2.

Slight downer for the day is that my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game (which I've been playing since Christmas and is still entertaining. Impressive for a handheld game. And not like the other pokemon games, which is nice since the original series is still flogging an undead horse) auto-saved after I lost a dungeon, normally I just reset my game but when I restarted it I found I'd lost all my precious items. >:(

That is awesome Pirate. I wish I had more time to run, I do get out once a week and do a four mile (6.4 km) jog for some much needed cardio. Glad I get some running in though. Feels amazing.

After running myself ragged for weeks, managed to find time to sit down and just play Civ V for a few hours. Good stuff.

Hell yeah! I just started playing Civ IV again recently after fixing my computer. I logged off last night with a huge army parked right outside of Roman territory. ;) I haven't gotten a chance to try Civ V yet, though.

Get rid of religions, plug in social policies, and replace Leonard Nimoy with Morgan Shepard, and you've basically got it -- still bloody addicting. When I finally logged off last night, much in the same vein as you, I had such a large standing army amassed, the AI civs were all going out of their way not to piss me off. Kinda funny to watch.

And that's the way it should be. =P I'm a little paranoid about the other civs all banding together against me, as that's really the only way I could lose at this point, but I think I'll be alright as long as I don't get too complacent.

Yesterday I went to Tosho-con and despite it being somewhat disorganized, very packed and quite dramatic, I was able to sell a copy of Volume 1 and 2 of Moon Crest 24 which is something that doesn't happen very often when I go to cons. I also took about 22 postcards advertising the comic and by the end of the con, there was only one left. :D

I got my first subscriber today. :D

Granted, it took me a few minutes to get past my initial reaction of, 'Wait, someone's actually reading this crap?'
